LOTRO Skin Browser running in Firefox 2

Description
LOTRO Skin Browser
------------------
Author: Wheatgerm
Platform: Firefox 2.x
Version: 1.5

Installation
------------
1. Drop the lotro_skin.html and "defaultBackground.jpg" (or any other background you care to use) in the directory of the skin you want to view. Make sure it sits right along side the "SkinDefinition.xml" file in the root of the skin's directory.

2. Make sure all the skin's image files are in PNG format. Browsers can't handle TGA files so converting them to lossless PNG will preserve them just fine. There is no need to modify the "SkinDefinition.xml" file. Filenames are modded as they are imported so the when "letterbox_bottom.tga" is read, the page will look for "letterbox_bottom.png" instead.

3. When you are done modding the skin, batch convert all of the PNG files into TGA files.

Limitations
-----------
The layout seems to work fine unless you size your browser to below the width of the bottom bar. Then the icons start to drift out of place.

Notes
-----
Batch files to convert from TGA to PNG and back again are included in the release. To use the batch file you will have to have ImageMagick for Windows installed. It's a free download.

ToDo
----
Test with lots of skins and add any missing elements that weren't defined in the test skin I used. Make refinements as always. If anyone wants to help feel free to send me your changes.

Changelog
---------
v1.5 - Added a minimap background, some repositioning and hid all non-present images.

v1.4 - Switched to WoW Style for additional layout testing.

v1.3 - All the elements that I had in the test skin are layed out.

v1.2 - Getting closer. Mouse triggers for the bottom buttons are done with submit buttons. Lot's more layout.

v1.1 - Put in the appropriate mouse triggers to swap out the images correctly for the autoattack button.

v1.0 - Got the layout, XML importing and basic framework created.

Update on v1.6

I am taking D.H1cks's approach somewhat and taking some time to do a redesign. I think I'm going to switch to using background attachments on div's to display images rather than having an img tag in as a child to each div. This will mean that I could tile the images without lots of javascript instead of having to stretch them like I do now. I'll have to switch to absolute positioning instead of fixed to pull that off I think. If that's the case then I'll probably set a fixed viewport size of 1152x864 or something similar.

Targa File Strangeness

I'm seeing some of the same targa file strangeness in some of the skins that D.H1cks mentions here in his Skin Viewer thread. Durin's Folk worked like a charm but Spirit of Elfwood came out all weird. ImageMagick had a hard time preserving the transparency.
