Version 34 is released - MAJOR UPDATE
General changes :
- This release introduces a new naming applied on ingame themes and in the hard drive sub-themes folders. Its goal is to offer a better overview.
You must delete previous JRR skins collection installation folder before installing this update. (= do not overwrite)
This also means your characters will loose their current theme association, you will have to rebind each of them after the update.
Don't forget the panel customizations (including custom toolbar) will be applied only after the next log in of your character.
- Any theme including the word "Custom" in his name is designed for advanced users. Any other theme use an universal toolbar.
Custom toolbar themes require to manually edit their skindefinition.xml file to fit user's game screen resolution in order to locate the toolbar at the right place on your screen.
- I enlarged the target of target vital frame, targeted objects frame is almost unchanged.
- I suppressed some deprecated panel customization codes:
* "panel displayed when applying an item on a legendary Item"
* "Taller legendary item dismantling result window"
* "Taller Legacy Extraction panel"
* "Store button removal in relic master panel"
* "Expanded master loot window"
* "Store button removal in wallet panel"
- I Fixed many missing or uncorrect anniversary portraits.
- I reworked the frame of monter play anniversary portraits plus many old portraits like good and evil NPCs.
- I Fixed and customized as much as possible the brawler's mettle meter on most skins. The 9th pip remains unsupported by skins at the present day.
Theme changes :
- "Fifty Shades of Grey wizard" had his name shortened in "Grey Wizard".
- "JRR *A*" "JRR *B*" and "JRR *C*" have been renamed "JRR Bree" as they are a Bree themed edition of the former JRR main theme.
- "JRR *D*" has been renamed "JRR Main theme" and has been reworked in 2 versions : Translucent and opaque panels.
- I fixed the issue with the toolbar from Monster's Lair Custom short toolbar theme.
- I turned invisible the XP bar from "the white hand" light toolbar edition.
- I suppressed the slight transparency in "Grey wizard" themes except for "Wide WoW" edition.

Thanks so much for the update!
But I do have a problem. I've deleted the old compendium and loaded my favourite skins (as usual), but now all the maps are fullsize again. Why? And how do I get them smaller and up in the left corner again?
I haven't changed any of the files yet.
Do I have to customize my fav skins now?
Addendum: The relog did fix it.

Portrait Behavior Issue
Hi and thanx for the great collection of skins, love it.
I have updated the version, but now I have a weird issue. Everytime I zone in another region / house, etc. The 3D character portrait is getting bigger and shift a little bit from its original location.
When I revert back to the old version, the issue is gone.
Any Idea what might cause it ?

Re: Portrait Behavior Issue
@Banefred
Hi,
as explained in the FAQ :
This is a well known issue since years. It is caused by the player vital panel code used in skins. This bug comes from the lotro client itself, I cannot fix it through the skin code, I can only disable the 3d portrait sizing line of code in the skins to bypass it, like it was the case in JRR skins and E&E panels before I re-enabled it in order to fix the other 3D portrait zooming and de-centering issues introduced by lotro update 33.1. So, whatever I do some people will be unsatisfied until the devs fix some of their game bugs. However, while waiting for a game fix there are several ways (choose one) to overcome it :
- Set your vital frame size to 1.00 in ui settings options tab.
- Disable 3D portrait in lotro ingame options.
- Roll back to JRR Skins collection v33 while praying for the devs decide some day to spend a few minutes to fix their fucking bugs.
- Delete this line of code from the skindefinition.xml file of each skin you use (but this will also reactivate the present issues of zooming and de-centering) : <Element ID="PlayerPortrait" Height="55" Width="55" Y="26" X="25"> </Element>
- You also have the possibility to fully replace the "regular" player vital frame by a plugin made one, as for example : https://www.lotrointerface.com/downl...1-Athelas.html

Version 34.0.1 - December 01 2022
Changes in the skindefinition.xml files :
- Converted tab value from 8 to 4 spaces, making the code looking like less messy.
- Aligned the remaining untamed assertid entries
- Cleaned-up duplicated picture files (assertid) entries
Custom short toolbars slots are now aligned with universal toolbar slots, so locked toolbars (in option menu) 1 to 5 are displayed aligned with the main toolbar by default, which is a bit more beginner's friendly.
Fixed an error in the code of both the Monsters Lairs custom short toolbars !
A few other enhancements here and there, including hobbit gifts panel.
Changes in JRR main theme :
- Reorganized the skindefinition.xml content by panel type and added some comments
- A few changes in the theme, mostly panel backgrounds.
- Added a custom short toolbar profile.

Possible oversight?
I noticed that when Induction Bar Display is enabled, your target's progress bar has the default appearance. I did some digging and found out that the art asset IDs for these are "opponent_progress_overlay_center", "opponent_progress_overlay_left", and "opponent_progress_overlay_right". Adding lines into the skin definition using existing progress overlay files helped solve this problem for me.

Re: Possible oversight?
@Kapybara405
Hi, thank you for your feedback. The fact is I didn't specially had the will to customize this bar as it is relatively neutral, but I'll keep it in mind when I'll start working on a new update.

@Tuvolas
Hi,
a relog your character after the first time you select the skin should fix the character vital display issue.
To move down the quickslot bars (and other UI elements) you can use CTRL + * key.

Hide Toolbar
Hey,
love your work.
Is it possible to make a UI with the entire mainbar hidden? Like the toolbar? So you only see the quickslots?
I saw someone on youtube, that had it, but cant for the life of me find out how he did it :P

Re: Re: Hide Toolbar
@Jadelin1987
Hi, have a look to the theme JRR Bree C. It delivers a minimal toolbar design by turning invisible many of its elements.

Resizing the main map
So I like the smaller main map, however, it's a little TOO small on an ultrawide display. I've tried editing the .xml file and changed the map size to various shades of 4:3 ratios, but it appears only the "window" is resizing - the map does not scale to the window. Is there any way to get the map to scale or is this a limitation of the game?

Re: Resizing the main map
@Aalwein
Hi, please look at the FAQ section on this page.
The windowed map is an unofficial tweak, it has not been designed to be handled like other panels in skins.

Thanks for the reply!
Aye, I did read over the FAQ. You had put in there it technically works to edit the sizes with those caveats, so I tried to edit the size keeping to a 4:3 ratio, but it doesn't seem to change the map., just the bounding box around the map (ie. the quest guide defaults to the proper edge, but the map doesn't scale up). I was just wondering if there was an element tag needed to force the scaling, since scaling does obviously work by default if you aren't editing the map element (since the map scales full screen by default).
If all we have is stretched full screen or 1024x768 as options, I'll play a bit and see if I can deal with it being so bity on my 3440x1440 display. I might be getting too old to see that small!
