I can wait. I think this has the potential to be one of the best plug-ins. Right now it's my second favorite, right under Buff Bars.

So, I don't want you to think I keep picking apart your work. I REALLY like it...I'm just finding some spots for improvement.
Having someone offer ideas for improvement helps keep the project interesting! and gives me something to do while waiting on my 200 hides to finish processing

I fixed the bug about the recipes not deleting, not sure how I overlooked it before, think it was just a quirk, but it is gone now.

still thinking of a way to easily sort the recipes without adding alot of stuff to the window (I dont like windows that take up alot of space. ) have a few ideas brewing, so we will see how it comes out.

I have my eye on this plugin. I understand that the API is preventing some automation with this. But, in a manual entry state, it's more work than it's worth for me. Hopefully, Turbine will allow you access to the recipie list as we open the tradeskill window, so that you can record the entries and save it. This is pretty much how other similar plugins work in other MMOs.

I'm sure others are in the same boat as well... so just wanted you to be aware that a plugin like this is desired, just not going to be used without more automation and less manual entry.

Otherwise, keep up the good work.

Commands

Are there Slash Commands to bring up the UI once you've closed it?

I know if you run pluginmanager from the user tools section to load all your plugins it remembers your active ones and you can simply enter /man then hit the reload button. works for me anyways.

Yes, just type /Craft and it will bring the window right back up!

Is it possible to change the font size? The font in the Shopping list is rather big. Maybe a drop-down menu so you can choose the right font size for yourself?

Well, I like this idea .. to a degree. I mean, assuming they add in the ability to read the crafting recipies using the API, then it's very usefull. I can also see how if you add in every single recipe and all, it would be usefull also, but also very anoying and alot of people won't do that.

That being said, I have an idea.. what is you took the following list, (which is updated by Missy) and export it to either an INI or an XML file, then have your script read from that XML to populate a list of recipes. this would give everyone a base list of ALL the recipes with red X's next to them, saying that we don't currently have them. Now, all it takes is a quick CLICK and it toggles to mark them as having them for whatever class you are currently loged into.

BENIFITS:::
1. It's still a manual entry, but it's alot easier then adding in every single recipe.
2. If they ever add in the ability to pull the data using API, then your script could pull that data, find that recipe in the list, and check that you have it.

If it's to time confusing to export the data from that sheet, I might be able to work something up to automate it. I would just need to get with you personally so that i know exactly what format and structure you would want it in to be readable into your script. Let me know either way.

Very compelling Idea, and very tempting... at the moment I am not working on the project (waiting for api to mature a little bit more) but I do keep an eye on it for bugs, when I start working on the plugin again I will get with you about more information.

Same for me. I really like the idea but I only hope there could be an easier way to populate the list. Even if I have to go through and click on each of my recipes to export them or something. I didn't have enough patience to manually type in all of the information. Oh, How about an in-game check list?

I am eagerly awaiting this! I haven't used your plugin as yet due to the time consumption of populating the list. I have 4 characters with 3 supreme tier crafts each and it would take me FOREVER to fill the lists. If all I had to do was click a check box next to the recipe it would be so much more useful to me.

Oh and an idea for your next project. There are a couple of plugins that can be used for notes, however, all of them are saved per character rather than server or even account. I have a lousy memory and sometimes when I switch to my bank toons I forget what it was I needed ... sigh, I guess I'm getting old. Anyway, it would be great to have a notepad that was shared between my characters and your shopping list is a good example. Maybe you could take that code and put it in it's own plugin?

taking a bit to get things coded correctly for the list, holidays and what not have slowed progress as for your second idea it would be easy to do, in fact you could make one small change to any of the notepad plugins to get it to save cross server (even across account if you wanted), just find the save/load commands and change the data scope to server or account (would already be user) I may create a notepad plugin for that but not sure what all features you would want, like how many pages, option for per character only, text coloring, etc. we will have to see.

EDIT: looking around and just found http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info438-SimplyNotes.html which is a basic notepad for you.

...Rings Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\CharWindow.lua:4: Unable to resolve package "Turbine.Utils".
...e Rings Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\__init__.lua:1: Failed to import package "SandBox.Crafters.CharWindow".
...f the Rings Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\Main.lua:1: Failed to import package "SandBox.Crafters".

Im getting these erros when I try to load this mod. I just pasted the Sandbox folder to \Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins, using windows 7 if that matters.

I don't know if I'm doing right thing here but if I rename the __init__.lua to init.lua I only get the last error
...f the Rings Online\Plugins\SandBox\Crafters\Main.lua:1: Unable to resolve package "SandBox.Crafters".
