Description
This is a very simple plugin that will calculate a new buyout price to compensate for the cut the AH takes. Ie, it lets you set how much money you want to get, and then tells you the value to get it.

There is no UI (and it's not needed as far as I'm concerned).

You can pass it one or two numbers. If one, it will assume that's the buyout; if two, it it will assume the lower number is starting bid and the higher is the buyout (ie, order doesn't matter).
The input and output are based in silver, so 1000 = 1g and 0.01 = 1c

The syntax is very simple:
/ah <price>
or
/ah <price1> <price2>

You can also now also perform simple mathematics.
Operations: + (addition), - (subtraction), * (multiplication), / (division), ^ (exponent), % (modulus)
Syntax: /ah <expression>
Example Input: /ah (-4+5)*10
Example Output: (-4+5)*10 = 10

Installation: Extract to your Plugins folder
Loading: /plugins load Ah

This is my first mod, so feel free point out anything I messed up

I plan to add the ability to pass something like /ah <units>/<price> and maybe some other basic mathematical operations for convenience (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
I think that's pretty cool. I know there is a calculator plugin, and I have it and use it, but I think I could sometimes get my answer quicker using the command line/text/console/chat (whatever you want to call it) vs opening the calculator and typing it in using the mouse and clicking buttons on the calculator. If I need to do multiple calculations, then the calculator is probably the better route for me, but if I only need to do one or two quick and simple calculations like "how much is this auction per item" or "how much morale will this item give me vs this other one" then being able to type it in at the chat console and getting the result would be faster and easier for me. I applaud you.

Lol, amazing how simple some things are. I never even thought of this; I just used the ingame calculator plugin to figure it out if I was really worried about getting a certain amount. Now I can always get what I want using this plugin. Thanks!

EDIT: I just thought of a feature that could be added, but I don't know if it's anything you would want to do and I don't know if it's possible. Many times when I'm shopping at the AH, I want to know how much something costs per item or the unit price of something that is in a stack. For example, if there's a stack of 50 for 900s and a stack of 35 for 500s, I want to figure out how much they cost per item. Normally I have to open my calculator plugin and divide it. What if this simple unit cost function was part of your plugin? You could type something like "/up 900/50" (unit price) (900 divided by 50) or "/up 900-50" (in case you can't use a slash in the syntax) and it would output something along the lines of "price is 18s each". I guess the calculator can do the same thing just as well, but I think I could get what I want faster by typing something in the console, especially since the calculator plugin doesn't accept keyboard input. Maybe I'm in the minority though.

Ideally, one day we will be able to have the unit price displayed as a tooltip when you hover over an item in the AH or have it added as an extra column in some fancy AH plugin. That would be friggin awesome!

Bravo, not sure why this wasn't thought of earlier! Cheers!
