<!-- To set your user panel centered -->
<!-- Edit the X="###" and Y="###" -->
<!-- Look up your resolution. (in my case 1680x1050) -->
<!-- Calculate X="###" 1680 divided by 2 makes 840 / 840 minus 258 makes 582, 582 will be you X="582" -->
<!-- Calculate Y="###" 1050 minus 120 makes 930, 930 will be your Y="930" -->

<Element ID="ToolbarField" X="582" Y="930" Width="516" Height="95" Detach="1">

<!-- Do NOT edit anything below this line! -->
Note: This calculation is based on a resolution of 1680x1050 you must calculate your own settings!
Note: If the interface is not loading perfect in the first place, pleas relog LotRO.
You can play with your X and Y to place your panel on your own unique place..

I do hope this is clear enough for you.....

I hadn't seen anyone comment on this SKIN yet and wanted to take this opportunity to be the first.

You all that take your time to make these skins first of all, I think sometimes we users that just download and don't help to create things tend to take it for granted. You guys put alot of time and effort into these things.

So I wanted to take this time to say thanks to everyone, and you for doing this.

I wanted to say about your SKIN here that it really looks like something that I am looking for to take the place of my permanant skin.

The base package of this one looks wonderful.

Got a few suggestions and see if you planned on doing anything else to it:
1. Color schemes? The default color that you're working with looks good don't get me wrong. But what about a Blue? Or a Green? Or even an off Black?
2. Cool small Graphics? Theres another UI Skin that I really enjoy, its the Dragon UI. Its got small sudtle dragons on the ends of the Hot bar, I thought that was a nice touch. Basically your base package UI skin as I said looks great and solid. However I find it maybe a little plain, don't take that the wrong way please. Maybe add some sort of small graphic to make it look cooler.
3. Instead of the Buttons and having words IE: [Menu][Crafting][DEEDs][Etc..etc..], use cool small icon graphics to signify each one?
4. One thing that I think alot of people disregard when making SKINs is the MAP hub. ADD the N-S-E-W, and change that up a bit to look a little nicer as well.

Just a few suggestion. I love the UI Skin as a whole, definatly something I downloaded and will be keeping an eye on. I'll be looking forward to hopefully seeing some updates to this..

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK none the less bud!

Cheers!

Okay, so I just went in game and tryed out your UI SKIN. It still looks good, although i'm having issues with it. It gives me 2 of the bottom bar huds sitting next to each other. It definatly ain't right, and i'm not sure how to fix it.

I run a 1440x900, I did the math, adjusted the XML file, and thats what it did.

Then I stuck it all back to default, set it to the proper resolution for this SKIN and still did the same thing.

Little help please...

DISREGARD ABOVE MESSAGE!!!

To correct that issue, I loaded the UI, then logged out, then back in and it adjusted itself and is good now. THANKS!

Thanks for the comments Baerlor.

1. I was thinking of making diferent color schemes. When time permits
2. It was my choice to make it Plain. prob. when I make a color scheme there will be added some more graphics.
3. The credits for the menu panel needs to go to AncientWolf I just changed some graphics, ill think about the icon think, all though I don't think I really
would like it. But as I sayed when Ill make color schemes I might make one with more graphics and stuff like that.
4. Ill will take a look at the Map thing soon, need to find out how to

regarding
Budvar

1. Color Schems: Great thats awesome, looking forward to future updates!
2. Graphics: Yea, I totally feel ya on your call about making it plain. I like the plain style better, although some minor graphics and icons I thought wouldn't hurt. I'm all for plain and agree, but maybe tweeking it but still keeping it simple, there could be a good balance between the 2.. Up to you bud.
3. Menu Panal: Yea bud, its totally up to you. I think if it were me, as I said in #2.. the idea behind this is to keep it simple and plain. Just adding the menu bar with some small ICONs like LOTRO uses I think would make it still simple, but better eye candy. That make sense?
4. MAP: Yea, not alot of people tweek the look of the map. Tweeking the map could also be away to keep the UI simple and some-what plain without going overboard with the graphics and keeping it simple but still look sexi.
ANOTHER NOTE: There was another UI Bar that was just uploaded called "EVOLUTION BAR".. This UI Bar is still plain and very simple, but what this person did was add a "Watermark" effect of a graphic in behind it. Maybe you could even do something like this. Just to give the BAR you got some sort of flash and texture look to it.

Just some ideas bud, either way I like what you got here..

I wish I knew how to make these things.. If you or anyone else out there could shoot me some "How To" links or something... i'd love to fool around with this stuff.

I love your interface ! Exactly where I like my buttons and everything. My only problem with it is certain times its very hard to read things like quest text and other things within the boxes due to the colors. When do you think you could make or even explain how to change default colors to say a dark blue..grey..something other than a pale background like yours now that makes the text very hard to distinquish?

Look forward to your reply..Great Work !!

Don't forget..

I myself am starting to get interested in developing SKINs.. I'm pretty much LOST right now, but trying to figure it out. You got any advice/tips?

Hi!

I read your instructions on repositioning of the skin to customize according to differet resolutions. Have you tried my tool that does this for ya?

http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...ceManager.html

You may distribute it with your skin to help end users get this right.

When I logout and then back in again, everything goes away. I've attached a screenshot. I do have other skins that work without a problem, ie, Kaylan's compact skins.
