@Cambruin

Hi, and thank you for your support

I released v1.0 of the JRR skins collection in July 2011 !

The Gambit combo name removal is a feature I disabled on users requests.
To enable it, locate its paragraph, then delete <!-- at its beginning and --> at its end. (These tags act as kryptonite for code )

@alexdrakoman

Download the main pack by using the download button near the the right top corner of this page.
Unpack it, then move it to this location : documents/lord of the rings/UI/Skins/

grey boxes mean the picture files were not found where they were intended to be.

Thank you for the quick response!
I just moved the '-->' to the back of the first line as I kind of appreciate how the .xml is broken up into parts
So thank you!

Joyeuses fêtes!

Merry end of year celebrations !

Version 28.2 - December 15 2020

You must delete any previous JRR Skins Collection installation folder content before updating to this this version.

- Renamed some sub-themes to clearly indicate which skins have a custom toolbar (meaning you have to manually edit their skindefinition.xml file in order to properly position the toolbar, depending your screen resolution).
So, on some themes, you will have to re-select it on your character with the new name.
- New sub theme for Monster's lair with a custom short toolbar featuring an "efficiency" meter bar for champion's fervor, runekeeper's attunement and spider weaver's venom.
Tu enable it on runekeepers, you need to have "small attunement" selected in lotro options panel.
- New sub-theme for Monster's lair with a short toolbar BGM styled.
- New sub-theme for BGM skin : A custom short toolbar featuring an "efficiency" meter bar for champion's fervor, runekeeper's attunement and spider weaver's venom.
- New sub-theme for fifty shades of grey wizard : A large wow inspired toolbar.
- Fixed a minimap missing picture in BGM translucent theme.
- Instance finder : Enhanced a few designs of location choices.
- A few other miscellaneous minor enhancements.

@Browar : Thanks to you for your support

@Cambruin : Merci

This looks amazing, and I would love to use this. But would this work with the 'Single Bar clean' plugin? I am using that bar and have set it up for all my characters. I don't want to lose that bar and the hours of setup.

@Pandawaffles

Hi, I don't know what is precisely your question so here are 2 answers :

- SingleBar already has a mini "efficiency" bar, but it cannot get a larger one without modifying its code and its design.

- You can keep your setting and benefit a full skin experience with JRR Azure Glass. Its "Basic" profile offers a clone of SingleBar in it.

Map Scaling

Hi,

I recently downloaded the JRR Skins Collection on my new PC. The map correctly scales to be smaller on my main character (which I played on my old PC). But whenever I make a new character, the map is the original full size.

Are there any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thankyou!

@TheMarksman

Hello, you have to select a (potentially different) skin for each of your characters.

@Adra

Thankyou for your quick reply! I tried this and didn't have success.

However, what did seem to fix it for me was deleting all my User preferences.ini files from my LOTRO folder in my Documents.

I then booted up the game and found that the maps scaled for all characters correctly, even using the same Skin.

Thankyou for your help! It's very much appreciated!

After selecting a skin on your character, all picture files apply immediately, BUT, as indicated in the explanations on this page, you have to log your character off then log in back in order to apply the new panel settings. preference.ini has no relation with the settings within the skins.

Radar Text

Thank you Adra for compiling this.

It's impossible to make a skin that is perfect for everyone. I was frustrated (triggered) that #JRR A# was perfect...except that the location text and coordinates were below the radar map, not above it. I like to put the radar at the bottom of the screen.

After some research and fiddling about I figured out how to modify a skin to move the text associated with the radar above it. The big hint was a post by moebius92 on the LOTRO forums (https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...ing-radar-text).
I followed his instructions and then played with the values to figure out what parameter moved each element, and in what direction.

There are many ways to skin this cat (Pun Intended); this is mine:
Code:
<!-- Modification to put radar text above the radar -->

<PanelFile ID="ID_UISkin_GamePlay_RadarBox">
  <Element ID="GamePlay_RadarBox" X="1250" Y="0" Width="224" Height="260">
    <Element ID="GamePlay_Radar" X="0" Y="70" Width="224" Height="260">
      <Element ID="CoordinateText_Label" X="0" Y="-50" Width="224" Height="20"> </Element>
      <Element ID="AreaText_Label" X="0" Y="-35" Width="224" Height="20"> </Element>
	  <Element ID="ToolbarButton_AreaText_DangerousArea_TutorialHighlight" 	X="0" Y="-35" Width="224" Height="20"> </Element>
      <Element ID="AreaText_QuestHighlight" X="0" Y="-41" Width="224" Height="32"> </Element>
    </Element>
  </Element>
</PanelFile>

<!-- end of radar text modification -->
(EDIT: Added the tracker highlight and warning text, and tightened up the spacing. The Element IDs are pretty self-explanatory but it took me forever to find them.)

I'm trying to edit the size of the map, I like that it's modular with this skin but I'm not using a 1080p monitor so it's rather small on my screen.

I'm using the JRR B.G.M "LARGE OPAQUE"(name in game) skin, and have found the SkinDefinition.XML file under the following folder path "JRR Skins collection\# BGM #\_Opaque skin" Since there is no LARGE folder I am assuming this is the correct one since there is no JRR B.G.M "OPAQUE" selection from the in game dropdown.

Anyways, I've found the field the creator of this amazing pack listed starting on line 3396.

Code:
<!-- Map Window -->

<PanelFile ID="ID_UISkin_MapPanel">
  <Element ID="MapBackground" 			X="0" Y="0" Width="1920" Height="1080"> </Element>
</PanelFile>
and made my changes to what i would like the map to be size wise. However, after saving the file and relaunching lotro entirely the map size hasn't changed at all. Is this not possible? It seems odd that the default values work fine.

Code:
<PanelFile ID="ID_UISkin_MapPanel">
  <Element ID="MapBackground" 			X="0" Y="0" Width="1024" Height="768"> </Element>
</PanelFile>
Anyone have any suggestions? (I'm using a 1440p monitor)

@Gloom

I tried setting the Width and Height for 4k (2160p) in the section below, and then again to 1440p with no luck. Eventually I removed the section, as indicated in the instructions above for the Skin and at least it works at full screen. Admittedly it is a little blurry but for me it is at least readable, where on a 4k monitor with it at actual size, not scaled, it was unreadable.

In SkinDefinition.xml

Code:
<!-- Map Window -->

<PanelFile ID="ID_UISkin_MapPanel">
  <Element ID="MapBackground" 			X="0" Y="0" Width="1024" Height="768"> </Element>
</PanelFile>
