Fantastic....as always

I love custom skins, and you do a great job. I particularly like the "short" toolbar, without all the extra buttons.

Keep it up!

Skins

Amazing work ...

Glad someone is picking up the torch. LOTRO plugins/skins is nearly a dead art.

Here is a screenshot of the toolbar I've just designed (based on Brygard's BGM default toolbar) for the new BGM skin profile named "BGM opaque short".

From the left to the right :

- A button which opens the general menu
- The auto-attack button
- The Lotro store button
- The 12 skills slots
- the skill bank indicator and skill bank switching buttons (at the top and at the bottom of the indicator icon)

It is a custom toolbar, it requires the users edit the corresponding Skindefinition.xml file if they don't play in 1920x1200 fullscreen mode.
This file is located there :
...\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\JRR Skins collection\# BGM #\_Opaque skin short toolbar\SkinDefinition.xml
Open it with Notepad or any else text editor. The required instructions are logged into this file.
Defining the toolbar scale to 0.99 (in options -> ui settings) can avoid users playing in 1920x1080 and those playing 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 window mode, to edit this file.

Yes and no, when a ran a few tests, only this configuration was working and not altering the coordinates reported by the cursor over the map.

So it was just a matter of defining the x and y resolutions to not be full screen?

@ invispoet

Hi, I'm not the author of this tweak for the Map, it is Eclipse

I knew Blade fade WIP, but I did not heard about Black fade Custom, is it an active project ?

To implement the tweak in your skin, just copy-paste these lines in your skindefinition.xml file, for example on the last but one line (before the line containing " </opt> ").

Code:
<!-- Map Window, by Eclipse -->

<PanelFile ID="ID_UISkin_MapPanel">
  <Element ID="MapBackground" X="0" Y="0" Width="1024" Height="768"> </Element>
</PanelFile>

Amazing map skin

Is there a way to take the frame you've created for the world map and use it with another skin? Your world map frame is the absolute best i've seen, and i'm trying to see if i can use it with the skin i'm using (Black Fade Custom). The reason i'm trying to use black fade is that his UI elements take up less space on the ui layout (the ctrl + \), but i'd really like to be able to use your world map frame with the rest of the black fade skin, if it's possible.

Re: Re: This makes me sad...

It's disappointing that they would be so difficult to the skinning community. I myself look into building a UI, but it's far more complicating than I thought. Much respect for you and the rest of the skinning authors. Even if Turbine wants to crap on your hard work, the community appreciates your dedication.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think there would be much more going on in the skin and plugin community if the LotRO dev(s) in charge of it were a bit more responsive. It would be nice to get a small skin pack update/patch if things change in the minor patches that occur between major updates so we don't have to use trial and error to figure out what the changes are.

Thank you for continuing to work on your skins. I don't care for the majority of the default UI and enjoy Frankenstein-ing a UI together from various sources.

Version 4.4 February 22 2013

- All skins : Enhanced the "war" panel and the war steed "vital" panel.
- BGM : floating quickslot toolbars in BGM translucent are now... translucent ^^
- New theme : BGM Opaque Short. It is the same than BGM opaque, excepted its toolbar is a custom compact one, without the side buttons.
Since it is not an universal toolbar, it requires you manually edit its skindefinition.xml file to adapt the toolbar position to your screen resolution.
- Monsters Lair : The option panel was good looking on the French Lotro client but not on the English one, this is now fixed !
- Many minor enhancements on various skins.

@zarden : Thank you for the kind comments

- Could be the last JRR release if no more skinning pack is released.

NOOO! Say it ain't so. My dreams of Fenir Wood Reborn is dying! lol

This makes me sad...

JRR V4.3b released

I just gone on Bullrorarer to check what panels Turbine decided to screw this time, and I only have 3 words to say :

F*** you Turbine !!!

So I decided to publish this minor update, enjoy it now, because the UI skins will be smashed by the upcoming Lotro update (even more than usual).

On update 10 release, only Durin's Folk and Azure Glass should still be good looking.

I'm fed up fixing their crap again and again and again...

Version 4.3b February 06 2013 Minor update

- Removed the magnifying glass icon appeared on bags with the last Lotro update.
- Updated BGM both themes, by importing and adapting some elements from unfinished Black Glass Mix 6 purple by Brygard.
- The stable master panel isn't still updated since Turbine hasn't yet published the skinning pack update dedicated to provide authors the required codes and elements.
- Could be the last JRR release if no more skinning pack is released.

----------

Yet, I, unlike so many will still have my fave Skin, which is the beautiful Durin's Folk...
