Ah, that is because those deed maps were never actually completed. Whiteberry stopped playing back in 2014 and stopped publishing her wonderful deed maps. However, she did publish partial West Rohan maps including Stonedeans, Broadacres, Kingstead, Westfold and Eastfold. Those overlays were left out of Moormap but will be included in the next version. Note, these deed maps are the last maps she published and they seem to have been incomplete at the time, only including the explorer deeds, not slayer or other deeds.

I would like to ask a question about the Deed log integration. Since Berry's one is not getting updated anymore, is there a way to integrate the more up to date one from https://sites.google.com/view/wintersongofarda/home ?

I have little knowledge about how these logs work and having to constantly alt-tab from the game to look at Lotro wiki to check the deeds and their place is too much of a hassle to deal with.

Berry's was amazing with this plugin...I wonder if this new one would work in a similar way.

Hi, thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, unless I am missing something, the site you posted only contains spreadsheets that allow users to track which deeds they have accomplished. There does not seem to be any actual location information in the spreadsheets, just names, rewards, and checklists. Whitebwerry's deed maps were actual maps showing location information for the deeds which is why they lent themselves to display via Moormap. I am not aware of any other source of actual maps for deeds beyond those covered by Whiteberry.

FWIW, the Whiteberry Deed maps in Moormap are merely a special case of Overlays. Anyone can create an Overlay as a transparent image to show deed locations, additional information on Overlays can be found in the readme.txt file. There are two things that are special about the Whiteberry Deed Overlays that are not available in a generic Overlay, the map legend that can be moved and the hover display when hovering the mouse over the specific deed icons. A static legend could be included with an Overlay as part of the Overlay image, so only the hover function can not be recreated with a generic Overlay. So, any user that is interested can create their own Deed Map Overlays and publish them...

Is it possible to load MoorMap on a 2nd computer to use while I am playing the game on my primary computer? Just wondering since I like to be a completionist.

Yes, but with one significant limitation, the location feature will be based on the second computer. Basically, you just have to install and run a second client on the other computer and then load MoorMap. The problem with the location data means that you would have to have a second character following your first character so if you are using a freebie account as the second account, you would have to either have a character on that account high enough level to avoid aggroing everything in the zone or you will have to wait until the feature to display a fellows location on MoorMap gets published (yeah, it's in the works, just not a high priority so not yet completed).

Plugin not loading

Hello. I just returned to Lotro after a 3 / 4 years hiatus and I tried using MoorMap plugin, but after installing it (through Plugin Compendium) the Moormap is still not loading. Is there anything I could do to solve this?
And thanks for your work!

Hi. I'm not sure from your pictures, but it seems you may be expecting MoorMap to replace the in-game map (your second picture was the built-in map), that functionality does not (can not, due to API limitations) exist. The plugin loads with an icon used to display the map, by default at the bottom left corner but since you indicated that you had played previously you may have moved the icon in the past. You can also use the chat command '/moormap show' to display the map so that you can access the settings at the top left of the plugin map which will allow you to move the icon if you have lost track of its placement.

If you do not have an icon and the "/moormap show" chat command does not display the map, you will need to look in the chat window for any error messages. First use the chat command "/plugins unload" to unload all plugins. This will also make sure another plugin such as a plugin manager is not interfering with MoorMap. Then make sure you have the "Error" and "Standard" channels displayed in your current chat window (right click the chat tab, select "Filters" and make sure those two are checked). Then use the chat command "/plugins load MoorMap" to manually load the plugin and check the chat window. If the plugin loads properly you should see a message like "Loaded plugin "moormap"." followed by a message like "MoorMap 1.41 by Garan loaded", otherwise you should see a specific error message displayed - if there is an error, post it here.

If the plugin loads but does not display (the default behaviour is to load minimized, just showing the icon), use the chat command "/moormap show" to display the map and access the settings as discussed above.

If the plugin does generate an error and does not display with the chat command let me know. If the plugin loads properly manually but when loaded automatically it does not seem to be loaded (no icon and "/moormap show" chat command says something like 'invalid command') then the plugin is loading and being immediately unloaded - let me know and we can walk through determining which condition is causing this (usually incorrectly setting the assist plugins to load automatically either in Plugin Manager or a third party loader like Bootstrap) and in extremely rare cases one or more corrupted settings files.

Ver 1.42

Ver 1.42 fixes a couple of minor bugs but primarily addresses the location format for the EN client that was changed in U26.2.2.

Thumbs up Little red button, custom adds,

Hello and thanks for an awesome plugin! I have a question about the little red toggle button in the top left corner of the popup window when you click on locations. I can find nothing it does. Please let us know how to use that button if you would.

I am also wondering if there's a way to add more icons and default categories to the list? I've found a handful of things missing on the maps, I've added them, but some are treasure caches and some are lore pages and no icons for those are in the list nor categories. Since you already incorporate those icons it would be great to be able to choose Treasure Cache or Lore Page or similar from the list and use the proper icons.
Is there a way we can add our own to these or is this something you need to do?

I'm sure I'll come across a few more things, but it's a pretty slick little addon, thanks so much!

Hi, thanks for the feedback, glad you like the plugin.

The red button on the annotation pop-up dialog is a pushpin. Normally, if you close MoorMap, the pop-up description closes as well. If you have pushed the push-pin icon, the description will stay open, "pinned". It was a requested feature a few years back and is in the ver 1.28 update notes. I've been meaning to create a video series on how to use MoorMap and TerrainMap, since there are so many features available in both, as well as a short series on what goes on behind the scenes to make it all possible. I just haven't gotten around to it.

Any treasure caches or lore pages should have been included in the default data, any that are missing can be reported here - most likely they are from an older region and were added in an update long after the default data for that region was captured. If you would like to help update them, just send me a PM here with the locations of some of the missing annotations and I will run around the affected region to recapture the missing data. As to adding your own icons for treasure caches and such, well, I could allow users to do this but then I would never be contacted about the missing data points and they would never get corrected, so I really do not want to enable icons for data that should be part of the default data. There is not any way (yet) to add your own icon categories - it's been on the ToDo list for a couple of years actually but keeps getting bumped by more significant issues.

Alternately, you could create an Overlay that has just the icons you want to add and that would effectively allow you to have custom categories (with custom icons). Then you could even share the Overlay with others. Overlays are discussed in the readme.txt file with the plugin.

Hello again, thanks I will send you the 2 missing items I've found so far and will report any others I find later as well.

As for the button, I kind of worked out what it did not long after I posted, but left it here just in case there was something I was missing. It doesn't work real well, you have to click it a handful of times before it finally catches and works for some reason. Could be lag, who knows since the server is riddled with that.

Thumbs up Suggestion: Sharing item/mob location info via chat

Hiya again,

I wanted to keep this separate hope that's ok.

I am wondering if there's any plans to add sharability via this plugin directly rather than having to go through Terrain Map? I tried Terrain Map for a very short time and it is really slow and laggy so it's not as helpful as it could be. I am wondering if there's a way to incorporate Chat to send locations of items/mobs/pins etc. similar to what we do with the RT Plugin? Wouldn't need anything elaborate, just the ability to send all or one at a time custom locations from a map.

I could envision a Send Item link under the Edit link in the mouseover tooltip that when clicked would automatically send the data for that item to whatever chat was currently open in our chat box. This could allow us to share locations without having to deal with files themselves.

From here I could envision a button at the top or wherever, that would send "all" custom locations from the current map (I wouldn't go with send all from all maps, I think one map at a time is plenty enough).

Just an idea that was mulling around in my head since the RT Plugin utilizes the chat system pretty nicely.

Thanks again!
