Re: Re: Re: Version 320

I found the problem after testing one by one with adding plugins to Bevy. The fault goes to Tobii. As soon as i ad Tobii to the plugins to be loaded, then the Bevy bar is empty.
I just have then to unselect Tobii and relog and the Bevy bar is fine again.

Sorry for the work i gave you. I should have tested this yesterday.

As i had other plugins i did not tested,i will do the add to load with Bevy and then test one by one so if there is another or same problem i can see which plugins it is.

Testing 2 on main character. (before i made a save of the plugin data folder)
- I did not deleted the pluging data files for that character.
- i made the test with all my usual plugins + Tobii : the bar load empty
- i made the test with all my usual plugins without Tobii : the bars load perfectly.

This is working great.
When the plugins are first loaded, Bevy bars show as not hidden out of combat. But after mousing over it one time, the functionality is fully back.

NOTE: as some of my usual plugins does not have a panel option yet, i am actually doing this:
I just ask Lotro Manager to load Bootstrap which is configured to autoload all my plugins.
When i log, all my plugins are there automatically and i have the function of Bootstrap allowing me to reload one or all plugins (Lotro Manager unload all)

Thank you again

OK, I'm going to ask a dumb question here. I apologize but it's almost 5 am here and I'm just about brain-dead...

If we install this latest version, can we just install it over the older version, or should we delete the old .plugin file first? Or perhaps just delete the entire old version and reinstall completely fresh?

Version 321
Bevy Loader put back in just-in-case. You only need to use this if you still have issues with the bars not loading properly. If you don't then go ahead and use the normal BevyoBars2 to load the plugin. I have no issues myself, so this is just a belt-and-braces approach to plugin design!

This is really just in case other plugins cause an issue, as Eili found with Tobii.

Re: Re: Version 320

Dear Eili,

Blast! I thought it was fixed - at least here it works just fine. You may want to roll back to the previous version for now and see if that still works for you.

I think what I may do is include the "loader" as an alternative for people who still see the bug - what thinks you Stever1388?

EDIT: Just realised I have got your name wrong *every time* Stever1388... sorry!

EDIT: Just did it anyway - only took a few mins.

Made a fresh install on a new character.
Create a simple bar, filled in with some pots and items
A file .data is created and i can see it in the folder plugindata.

Though if i log off and come back in, the bar is empty again. The .data though still shows items.

After some testing i find it seems what is the problem.

Lotro Manager load all others plugins data fine, but Bevy data.
Though if i unload all (button unload) plugins and ask to load (button load) Bevy, then the bar load correctly full of the items.

So to have all others plugins loaded you need to load them one by one after Bevy. And to do that each time you log in game.
I'm unable to recreate this problem. I will test this a bit more tomorrow, but if you could list the other plugins you are running and loading in with the LOTRO Plugin Manager, and also if any errors appear in the chat window when you log in, that would be helpful.

Also, this update will make it so when a quickslot is empty but shouldn't be (ex: you run out of health pots, log out, and then log back in, the quickslot that held the health pots is now blank), when/if you do get those exact health pots back, that quickslot will update/change back to the health pots, you won't have to set up the bar/quickslot again, unless you want to change which health pot (or other item) is in the quickslot.

Hopefully we'll be able to find out what is wrong.

Bevy Loader no longer needed and works just fine with the Turbine plugin manager thanks to the work of Steve1388. Many, many thanks!

Please delete the old .plugin files for bevy before installing this one.

Odd, but there is a lot of strangeness with the new update to Lotro.

New Issue since Plugin Manager

I had Bevy working fine with the new in-game plugin manager. Worked just fine for me yesterday. Tonight I logged in and it errors on loading Bevy saying it requires the dragbar. I already HAVE the dragbar. I tried your new version with the autoloader, knowing it was meant to fix something else, but hoping anyway. No luck. Any ideas?

Re: Re: Update 5

Yes, I am finding this myself. It must be something to do with the new plugin manager. It is only plugins that are auto-loaded that are effected.

What I *think* is happening is it is loading the plugins before the client can react to the players backpack. That way it is registering those slots as "empty" and clearing them.

I am stuck, at the moment, on how to fix this.

EDIT: Yes, this is definately the issue...

EDIT: Uploaded a fix. If you want to use the plugin manager auto load option then do NOT select bevyobars2 to autoload, select bevyobars2autoloader. It's ugly - but it works!

If you use the lotro manager, the bar loads but empty. It does not keep either your pre patch configuration slots (all the traps potions and such).

I tried to create from start, you can put of course on slots everything like before but if you log off then the configuration is not saved and you have to start again from scratch

I dont know if this is due to Turbine or if you need to change something.

THank you

---For now i will still use my old manager (aka Bootstrap to load Bevy until we discover the problem)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Nice Bars plugin

Thanks, it has rather been on the back-burner for a while. I have tried a change to the option box, makes the sliders a little funky, but if you could have a try and see what happens I would be a happy man!

I just gave it a quick try. I was able to create the pop-up bar I've wanted to put my travel skills on (milestones, return to bree, etc). Works exactly the way I've been trying to get it to work.

It was a quick test so I didn't test changing the background colors. They didn't matter as much to me as the functionality of the pop-ups. I'll test that later tonight.

Thanks for fixing it and thanks again for all the work you've put into it!!!
