Number of slots

Is there a way to increase the number of slots per "stack" beyond 8? I am a hunter and I would like to use this to hold all my travel skills but I can only see 8 slots available per button stack and I have at least twice that many skills that I would like to put in one stack. I use this addon for other things, of course but the big issue for me is the amount of quickslots my travel skills take up. Yes, I know there are other addons out there that try to address the travel issue, but I find them cumbersome to use and would just like to have the ability to scroll through them as is implemented in your work. I originally used Wheel for this but it has some serious flaws concerning changing individual skills that you have addressed in your addon. Also Wheel is broken atm and doesn't allow new wheels to be created and Imez doesn't seem to be around.

I am currently working on the new version of kragenbars, slots is next. But in the meantime I will see if I can get an update with more slots. Check back early next week.

Hmmm ... slots no longer are changing on click. Reverted back to previous version.

On my end the slots were advancing on click but the item/skill in the slot would not fire. Minor bug, it should be fixed in v1.0.1 which I just uploaded. If this is not the issue you are refering to then please provide any information you can about the issue and how you are encountering it. If you had previously created slots that you are having the issue with also double check the setup window for them and ensure change on click is selected.

Oops .. that's what I meant to say; the items were not being invoked (note to self: Coffee ... then type).

Updated to new version. All ok. Keep up the good work.

No problem argentstar.

I have been busy working on KragenBars along with Valdacil. I do have new features in mind for KragenSlots tho and of course stuff that gets written for KragenBars will spill over to KragenSlots (after all that is how KragenSlots was born). Expect to see some new stuff in a few weeks in KragenSlots including a new menu system that should remove all need for chat commands to create and edit bars.

Quickslot Grouping

Just tried out this plugin last night, and I find it very useful. Nice job!

Wish list for me: I would love to have the ability of configuring quickslot groups within the 24 quickslot list, such that single clicks perform a series of quickslot commands. IE, a five quickslot rotation could be sub-grouped to behave as follows: Click once to swap out to sword, shield, tank-belt; click a second time to swap out to 2hander and OP belt, bringing you back to sword quickslot.

This is a plugin with a lot of potential. Unfortunately it's not working very well with me.

I created a new slot, filled it with my mounts, and accept. the slot is visible, and works as it should. When I close the game and return, the slot is not visible any more . If I check the slot settings, al my mounts are still in it. The slot is still there somewhere, I can see it's location when I unlock the UI.


I'm looking forward to next versions though, I even have a small wish list .

* Easy way to add new slots with a menu
* 3-slot carousel mode (like the Mount Carousel). It's an easy way to remind me of the fact you can scroll (this isn't always obvious when there is only one visible slot).
* Window mode (with Toggle and fade) for the current UI (not the ugly Turbine Gold thingy)

In short, the combined functionality of your plugin with Wheel, Travel Window, Mount/Pet carousel would be the ultimate slot plugin for me

I have been busy working on KragenBars 4.0 but I do have plans to expand on KragenSlots. Some things you mention such as easier way to add and manage slots is on the list of to-dos and I will see if I can add the other features you mentioned. Not quite sure what is meant by window mode, if you could expand on that I will see what I can do.

The only thing i would like to see is to have the adjacent items also optinally verticall

instead of

Sorry, this is not possible. We can not programatically "use" the slot or equip items for you.

Hmm, let me explain. Put the slots in a UI frame, like Travel Window with the slot name on top.

I get it. Thats what I was figuring but wasn't sure, never used Travel Window before. This may not make into the next version but I will see about adding it shortly after.


I been working on the new version, I think its done just need to do some testing. But here is a little teaser of the new feature set.

-The individual setup windows for each slot are gone in favor of one setup window to manage everything.

-No more chat commands to create and remove slots. Now they are added and removed from the main setup window.

-No more limit on the number of shortcuts in a slot.

-Shortcuts are added by simply dragging the item/skill onto the slot. Just dragging replaces the currently showing shortcut. Alt dragging will insert the new item/skill directly after the currently showing shortcut. Dragging shortcuts out of the slot will remove them from the list. (The slots can be locked to prevent accidental removal)

-Horizontal and Vertical preview modes. Ability to either have the preview slots only visible on hover or always visible.

-Snap to Grid mode similar to KragenBars

I should have this posted this weekend. I think it is a huge improvement over the old version.
