A totally transparent chat window
 

Not just its background, but the chat bar, text, tabs - everything.

It would only become visible again if there is a new message, you are typing in it, or you move your mouse over it.

Would this be possible ?

This isn't something that skinning is going to solve.

However, it's something that we want to get into the game. I know, I know "other games do it." If other games jumped off a bridge, would you want LotRO to jump off a bridge? I didn't think so.

I like this guy.

If you right click on the window and hit 'Change Text colors' you can tune down the opacity so its 'almost' transparent.
