Trying to Understand

Hi there, long time LOTRO player, but just looking into UI mods a bit now. I have a question though, I want just some elements of UI changes that people have made, but don't want a full blown re-skin. I actually for the most part like the default UI for my needs (though people here have done some really cool looking stuff!) but I'd love for example to have the dressing room mods that people have that show your character very large.

I tried just adding a skinsdefinition.xml file to a UI folder I created, but that doesn't do anything, in game I don't even see the option for that mod in the options section, so am a bit confused how I can basically take the standard UI, but just have the dressing room changes. Does anyone know how I can do that? Thanks in advance!

I created the skin definition file for you to work on.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YIPM1OVW
Or
http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/f27...room_for_Marll
Or
http://www.filehosting.org/file/deta..._for_Marll.zip

The zip contains the basics, the dressing room code and the x close button.

If the code doesn't work for your resolution, you will need to download the dressing config and edit only the height.

I put a screen shot in the zip to give you an idea what to change.

Any other skins you want to use,you will need the skin art and the code to paste it to the skindefinition file.

Once you choose the skin in the in game option, you will need to exit the game completely then relog for the skin to take effect.

Awesome, thank you so much for putting that together for me, that was certainly a nice surprise!

I can do the height adjustments myself and the resolution changes (running 1680x1050 I think).

No problem,glad to help when I can.:D

Since your running @ 1680x1050,then there is really no need to adjust the dressing room code, unless you need to or want to adjust it abit, other then that should work right a way.
