"RP Mode" plugin
 

No idea if this is even possible, but what do you all think of a plugin that simply hides the entire UI *except* the chat window? A toggle button to perform this action would be perfect. Your thoughts?

I don't think it's possible yet. Your best bet would be some sort of minimal skin I think.

you could try to make secondary ui layout too.

first take a copy of you regular ui which you quest etc with

/ui layout save quest

and then hide all the possible things you can like quickslot, minimap etc from the options etc etc and do a rp layout

/ui layout save rp

to switch between the layouts you would only have to type /ui layout load quest or /ui layout load rp. When you have the layouts you can also make them an alias or quickslot button to make the switch even faster.

/alias ;rp /ui layout load rp
just type ;rp after this in chat window to execute the whole ui command

/shortcut 120 ;rp
to make a shortcut (not entirely sure if that is correct, can't remember as i don't have client open)

the layouts even save the skin info so it could switch to minimal skin when you load the rp layout - and vice versa

Yeah, the only downside to that is that you have to log out and then back in so that the screen elements that are visible aren't all wonky. Kind of kills the 'convenience' end of things. :(

depends what kind of skin you're using. even if you are already using some skin that does that you could make an edition of it for yourself to make things disappear
