Update file ignored.

I'm not sure if has been only a misstake or actually happened.

I updated my new file of http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...nalStrats.html To 1.1 version, the website took a lot of loading so i guess it indeed did get my .zip file. Nevertheless, when a friend downloaded it still was version 1.0 files... with 1.1 name. I did downloaded it again and checked it was true.

Somehow the file updated was completely ignored. I suspect it's because at same time as i was uploading it i Deleted the 0.2 version since it's way outdated.

Now i tried to update to 1.10, no real change, just a name changed to fix the problem that happened in the previous update but the file hasn't been accepted and now is pending to be Approved by an admin.

I'm the only one with this issue? it's the first time that i see it happens.

Are you changing the file name? If not your browser caches the filenames and it will act like its downloading but wont really and use the one it has cached. Its always best to include the version numer in the file name to bust through caching. Keep the zip file the same name as previous versions only causes trouble with some browsers with agressive caching.

Will have that in mind, thanks.

But i wasn't the only one with the problem, as i said, my friend had the same issue. he downloaded my plugin and it was same file.

If he had ever downloaded the older version before then its the caching issue.

I downloaded the file and since I never downloaded it before I received the correct one. Also we use zip.so to peak inside the zip and get details and it was the correct one.

If after changing the filename you still have the problem please let me know. Others have had this same issue and its been resolved by having a different file for new releases.

Sorry for the trouble. :)
