Resource Tracker Plugin

Hello authors,

I'm here to ask your extreme altruistic sides to think about making a plugin that I think everyone would use if available... a resource tracker a la WoW's Gatherer.

I would like to see a plugin that monitors your loot messages for times that you have mined a node of a resource, a skarn node for example, and then the plugin will record the x,y coordinates that you just mined the node at, what the node was, and put a marker of some kind on your map and/or minimap to reference later.

There may be an issue with the granularity of the coordinates and the fact that where you stand is NOT where the node actually was, but perhaps filtering based on proximity can help alleviate this.

Thanks for your time.

You are looking for MoorMap. It doesn't automatically add the nodes based on loot messages (we can't access map coordinates in a chat filter) but does allow you to annotate a copy of the parchment maps and has a tool specifically for quickly adding nodes. Bear in mind that unlike WoW, there is very little of the interface exposed to Lua, for instance, player coordinates are not accessible without the user clicking a specially formatted quickslot control, so some of the functionality you will find in LoTRO Lua plugins is limitted and authors have to jump through hoops just to give the limited functionality you see.
