User Interface Files

Are there any plans to save the UI files client side? So when I make new characters, I can just copy/rename a current ui scheme so I don't have to re-do the whole thing each time?

Or better yet, will there be a /load ui command that would allows us to just load another characters ui setup/style from within the game?

Thanks in advance!

(I originally posted this on the LotRO Forums, but Cairenn suggested I post it on these boards. Cheers!)

I agree a nice way to transfer your UI window locations, settings and filters to another character would be really nice.

I agree as well, and was here at this site browsing around to find an answer to this problem of mine. My chat colors alone drive me nuts to not be the same on each character down to the exact. ;-D

Agreed, I was suprised that there seem to be no client files at all to save any settings.

True - all of you. But I still want to be able to have seperate settings, hence why I have said nothing until now. I am not sure how the game engine works. I would like to carry over settings, and still be able to maintain seperate settings, if that makes sense.

Yeah... just client side files saving settings per character.

etc.

Here's hoping. :)

I agree!

And another argument is that when playing on several different computers with varying resolutions the problem gets very apparent (and annoying).

Furthermore i'm developing an applicattion where I had in mind features such as copying (and backing up) settings from both UI, general game and keymappings and the ability to create copies for new chars (with minor modifications).
