CStM: The State of LOTRO Plugins
A Casual Stroll To Mordor: The State of LOTRO Plugins
Thanks to Merric for shining some light on Turbine's fading interface support. It's a great summary, which even has quotes from our previous discussion here. :) Let's hope it encourages even more people to request LUA/UI support from Turbine. For those of you new to LotROInterface, here's the official forum thread requesting the current interface art pack where Sapience (post #58) said, "I'll pass the request for the skin definition file along." We haven't heard anything since. There are similar requests for LUA updates, although I can't find a really clear thread to point to. |
It may have been coincidental timing, but shortly after CSTM's article, we got our first official communique from Turbine about the state of Lua and skinning:
http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...art-Monitoring Narrel has sworn that unless he has an untimely meeting with a large vehicle, a new art pack will be made available around the time of the release of Isengard. |
Excellent, hope its not false promises though :s.. But for now we should remove the negative thoughts from our minds?... urm no! :) ... We want API improvements! rofl

*fingers remaining crossed* I've been really hoping things would pick back up, it's been sad for me to watch what's been happening to the community (or not happening, as the case may be).

A light at the end of tunnel, Finally. *fingers crossed*
My thanks to Merric for the wonderfull article. And many thanks to everyone in lotro community for supporting the modding community! |
