Ok I have a pretty good result with this alpha channel patter using AlphaBlend. I also set the corner color to 90% black and now there's really no visible shade difference. Previously I had problems with the quickslot shining through, but I'm not sure what I did to fix that. Oh and thanks everyone for the help
