Have any of you played EQ2? if you have you have seen the handy dandy tool called EQ2maps.

How hard would it be to have a similar tool for LOTR? The world is so huge and quest and not as simple as East of this or northwest of that as they say in quest descriptions. Dumb luck and some advice in game have helped me find most of what I am looking for.

Also the maps don't label some areas that quest are in.. they are areas with in areas.. so you have to kinda know what your looking for.

I would love to see a tool like EQ2MAPS, for LOTR.

How long has the game been out, I just started playing it 3 days ago.

1. I have played EQ2
2. I know what EQ2maps is.
3. How hard would this be for LOTRO? Impossible. There is no UI modding for LOTRO, at all. We can only make UI SKINS. Imagine EQ2 Ui modding, but ONLY being able to change the image files, thats what we have right now.
4. Letting us re-skin the maps is somethign they may do in the future, but as of now the map images are not something we can legally modify.
5. LOTRO has been out since about this time last year and has just passed it's one year anniversary and has won the "Golden Joysticks PC game of the year award" the most presitgous award a PC game can get.

goto the link.. pick a quest your on, or know well.. then click it, and see the nice map with info on the quest, and some with screenshots.. very cool!
