Folder Layout

This is not really just for authors, but for anyone installing plugins. I took a quick screenshot of my folder layout so hopefully people can get an idea where things go....

Bigger problem. I didn't 'have' a Plugins folder, so I just made one, and apparently that is not enough. I received an error, and posted it as a bug to 'Travel' on your portal, but now I'm thinking it's me, but I don't know why.

I don't have 'Turbine' and 'TurbinePlugins', which presumably has all this:

import "Turbine";
import "Turbine.Debug";
import "Turbine.Gameplay";
import "Turbine.UI";
import "Turbine.UI.Lotro";

(from your TravelWindow)

So the $64 question is: Why did we 'not' get that when we patched on Tuesday? Is there a secret hand shake that must ensue to receive those files? Can someone throw them out there for us somewhere?

Ya, you need the file downloaded from Turbine. Their forums just came back up, so here is the link: http://content.turbine.com/sites/lot..._LuaPlugins.7z

Thanks.

Now why in God's name is it a 7z. I swear 'everyone' has to go be different. ZIPs RARs. What was wrong with ZIP?

*sigh* Now to go find yet 'another' decompressor that's free.

It is to be hoped they will eventually host them here like they have done with the skin definitions. And, hopefully, we will get a plugin for MMOUI minion to keep things updated!

Just a question out of curiosity, but is there a reason why we are clumping mods into the authors folder name?

It seems to me, from my experience with wow mods, that using a plugin name only would be better for an updater?

Again, not sure of the reason why.

Thanks guys. You are all doing a great job.

WinRAR opens 7z. And the reason many devs use 7z is it is a more efficient and reliable compression.
