UI Skin not showing up in-game

I've been trying to test a skin but when I go to User Skins in Options in-game, it isn't showing up.

The SkinDefinition is fine, with the SkinName and all the other necessities.

I deleted a few skins I couldn't use anymore, thinking it was out of space, but it's still not there after clearing it up.

I checked and double-checked my skin compared to others that were showing up, but the SkinDefinition is completely OK.

Any suggestions? Is anyone else encountering this problem?

I'd say chances are there's an error somewhere in the skindefinition file. If the client doesn't fully recognize the skindefinition file, I believe it won't show the mod at all.

Yeah you only need to have a small typo somewhere. I can't figure our any other reason why this would happen otherwise.

Do you use an editor which has text color coding ? It will help a lot to find those pesky errors. Notepad++ is what I use mostly

Thanks for the replies.

Funnily enough, I haven't tried any editors and have done the Skindefinition manually for the most part. Would you mind showing me an intro to Notepad++, because I have no idea what to do with it after I've installed.

I'll check the file, thanks.

LOTRO even doesn't like you using 'special characters' in comments like <!-- -->

Characters like éèøâ, etc.
