I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned that there's a problem with the opponent vitals with Book 7.

Did you try the in-game scalers ?

This indeed did help a lot, I had to scale a lot of parts to fit it on screen and now it's there without the nasty emptyness

Thnx for the help daimon!

Did you try the in-game scalers ?

Main Menu > UI Settings > UI Scale > Toolbar
The downfall of this is that the main hotbar will go a bit blurry. I don't know does this affect on position of the buttons (bags, deeds, quests etc) but I have a memory that it shouldn't.

You might also need to adjust scales for the following:
Vitals
Opponent Vitals

Hopefully that will help. If not then modifying the .tga and a few lines in skindefition.xml is the only option to get rid of the empty space you see on currently :/

It indeed does solve a lot to relog after applying, however, there's a nasty little 'nothingness' at the left side of my screen (and I think the Right side is a bit off-screen, can't see that.. however)

Is there anything I can do to change that offset position?
I tried reading the XML file, and are able to find the panel, however, I can't find placement defenitions on it..

I must try swapping to a lower rez to see if it fixes it, but I'll do that later since it's past bedtime atm..

I tried swapping resolutions, but none of them (below 1600) are screen-filling, and none are placed at the center of my screen (there's a little offset to the left)

Swapping to a rez above 1600 makes the nothingness even bigger, though I expected it to fall off my screen at both edges, it just gets placed more to the right.

Is there any way to change this? Or do I have to change the .tga file to make it a bit longer to the left..?

Yt,

Dalosir.

(ps. I'm dutch, so excuse my lousy english :P)

yea you got a bit nasty resolution there :/ try 1440 and 1280 versions and use in-game scalers to fit the bottombar on your resolution, it might work. And do remember to relog once after you load the UI for the first time! .. if it still doesnt work send me a screenshot by PM and ill see if I can help you out more.

Hi there,

I tried out DamonUI.. and to be honest, it looks great on your pictures, but it look pretty bad on my screen..

everything is in a wrong order, that bar at the bottom is like.. underneath my visual screen...

can you tell me how to change this?
(I think it's my resolution bugging, it's 1366 by 768 (18"5 widescreen)
cause I'd really love to get this to work

Just a heads up. I'm currently using the UI on the preview server Bullroarer, and have noticed that they have changed the size of the vitals boxes. They're fairly large. The buff/debuff bars is now able to be split. Also, there's an issue with the targets vitals bar and portrait not lining up in the graphic. Just thought you'd like to know.

Hi and thanks for the feedback.

About the vitals in flipped order. Usually in the similar games like Lotro the vitals are positioned so that the player vitals are on the left side and the enemy vitals appear on the right side. Due to history of Lotro it was not possible to arrange the vitals this way without losing the layout I wanted to use (we could move only a few things around back then) for my skin. Nowadays I should be able swap the order into the general way vitals are displayd. But with 3.0 I decided to stick with the old way DaimonUI has had them so the users that have been using my UI before wouldn't have to learn it again. I am a WoW veteran and it was odd to learn to see your vitals in wrong places but in a few days I got used to it. I guarantee it only takes a few days to learn to look at the right places - but in the start it can be quite confusing. This might be changed in the future though .. I might add an option where you can select which order you want to have em..

About the buffs. I had to make a compromise here too. Before the buffs were in bottom of the vitals. I still think that is a good place for having them there though having the buffs up is also a good place as you can more easily point your cursor on them and see what the buff/debuff does. In 3.0 I decided to move them up there because of the layer problem we currently have in skinning Lotro. The problem having those buffs up there is that I can't bring them any closer to the vitals as if you get many rows of buffs active simultaneosly they go over the vitals (like they do now already if you have 4 rows of buffs active). I hope we get some change in this at upcoming book 7 where you should be able to separate buffs from debuffs .. lets hope they give us more options to handle buff icons there too.

Otherwise Im having a break from DaimonUI at least until Book7 goes live. Then I probably need to do some fixes anyway and at the same time I can see what I can do about the old dilemmas with the UI.

Thanks

Daimon,

I absolutely love this UI and believe it is the best one that's been designed thus far. I only have two very small requests and I was wondering if you could perhaps grant my wish. I really would prefer having the player's vitals (my character) being on the left side, while having the enemy's vitals displayed on the right side. Also, I wish that the effects that show up on myself and enemies (buffs, debuffs, ect) were not so far above the vital bar. I would just like them to be within a closer proximity. Those are my only requests and I would really greatly appreciate it if you could do those two things.

I run my game in 1680x1050 resolution, so I believe that's the default you have the UI set on. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Bonzo: I choked almost when I did read your reply 2560 res ?? I didn't knew that such a thing even existed. I'm not making any promises .. but maybe.

Celahir: Please send a screenshot of your UI to my PM box here at lotrointerface. You did remember to re-log after selecting the UI in-game ?

Hmm well, the panel skins are just a bit over the top for me, so I'm going back to 3.1.1. But I really like the bottom bar and minimap. Shame you couldn't figure out some way to get all 7 stars (there are only 5 bags and 2 more would be confusing. But nobody ever uses the bag buttons, right?)
