Is there a way to get rid of the Space that appears on the Health and Mana bars? I read about this somewhere, looked a couple of pages back with no luck. I think it has to do with the Buff bar spacing causing a bug in the Health and Mana bars.

Thanks for any tips

Marll: you don't need to resize the picture or edit the skin code at all. all you have to do is to edit the crafting panel's background picture's alpha layer (ie. transparency), use google to find out how as there are some nice guides around - it's not overly complicated. Basically you just have to redo the corners and easiest way to do that is to copy-paste those corners from some stock background file.

Hi, quick qestion, if I wanted to resize the background to prevent clipping on the crafting panel when used with the stock UI borders, what lines should I be looking at editing?

I tried resizing the image in an editor, but I just made matters worse, e.g., the background was "off" enough to throw the whole window off a bit.

Other than that everything is great.

Thanks Daimon, appreciate it. I'll poke around with it a bit this weekend, though I am sure that the crafting panel is here to stay based on the amount of work to move the coordinates around. I'm sure that I'll get used to it quick, as it's a great looking panel!

Marll: There's no easy way to modify the crafting panel .. well everything is relative so I guess it's about point of view >.<

Yeah my borders are based on the original borders so it should be fine to just swap the tga files. Some clipping will occur though as my corners are a bit different.

Oh, also, for argument's sake, let's say that I wanted to use the stock UI look for the window borders, can that be done? Do I just need to take out the references to the border in the XML file, or do I have to have all new art assets to skin the border of the window?

I just want to see what the different options are, and how easy to change/edit the UI border look would be.

Of course I'm at work right now and can't play with it, otherwise I'd just poke around a bit

Is there an "easy" way to reverse the crafting panel display to have the recipes on the left and the mats/requirements on the right? I think that it looks great, just feels backwards to what I am used to.

Thanks for any help, your UI looks great!

I couldn't get the Skill bars to stay open, but found the setting in the UI. It was seeing all the Hotbars open on XLite which made me want it.

Also found the Unlock UI which allowed me to move that dang Popup description.

All issues resolved, yay!

Thanks again for your work on this.

Acleacius: Cheers. XLite is a long forgotten project and it won't be coming back I'm afraid You can find similar minimalistic skins here at Lotrointerface though.

you mean that you would like to see that grey area if there's no skill applied to a specific quickbar slot all the time ? It can't be done basically (I could add some slot art on the main panel to simulate the effect but that's something I don't want to see myself). Sorry :/

Thanks for your work on this.

Anyway to get Daimon UI XLite version to active on the latest release, looks pretty great?

Is there any way to make all those Hotbars above the Main Hotbar stay open, even after you close the Skill window?

Thanks for any tips.

Edit
Apologizes about all the n00b questions.

Lenapi: that "hehehe" was aimed to Fustercluck btw

yeah about the buff locations. I decided to move em above the vitals because there are some nasty restrictions involved with them with my setup otherwise. I think they work pretty well up there, easier to mouse over them etc imo, only downside is that if you get a lot of em then .. well, it isn't pretty sight.

true. the UI is however based on my own preference and the resolution I use myself, I have added more resolution options on the way and tried to solve issues as much as I have ability to do it but as you said scaling my UI may not be easy. One way to do it if you use high resolutions is to install a lower resolution version of the UI and then scale everything (mainbar, vitals etc) to see the vitals bigger than they originally are. The downside is obviously that the graphics will get blurry.

In hopes when we get LUA things change and I don't have to try to think workarounds anymore. It will take time tho before we get that for my UI project as I am not very experienced with LUA.

Nevertheless I am taking a bit of a break from the project until I see what LUA can bring us.

...

Yes, I know! I'm talking about the place! All buffs must be near the bars not in space, aren't they?))
And what about the size - in that version of your UI there isn't possibility to make bigger the main panel, and its sad)) "Minimal" and other are great because of scaling ickns))
Thanks!

Lenapi: thanks. you can scale up the spell icons from the game options (the set back is that they will go blurry), nothing can be done to them and they are the same in every UI, including the original.

that blue arrow is a temporary buff everyone gain while the freeps control Ettenmoors (PvMP area), it's a rare treat, at least on Laurelin EN-RP

Your work is great, I adore it despite of small, very, very small spell icons... I have only one question: what's happened to that blue arrow?
