I'm not sure if you're aware, but at least for me, when using v5, the loading screen is screwed up! I get black bars top and bottom and while loading I can see some plugins, or the FPS counter, and in the top left corner I can see the names of items and NPCs in the area my character is in/just entered, as the client loads them. This is one of several bugs about this new version that sadly keep me from using it. I'm a HUGE fan of BGM, love your clean work, but for now I'll stick to the previous version, even though much of v5 looks better to me (and is up-to-date!). I really really hope you iron out the existing problems and come out with an updated and smoothly working v5.1 (or however you wanna call it )

If/when you do... would it maybe be possible to release it as a full pack, rather than separate ones for each colour and then also separate tweaks like the 'mini' version (with then yet another additional add-on for the attack button)? So that ideally, any user who's a total newbie to your work just downloads the whole pack and can then simply choose which one to use, right from the in-game menu. That would make it much more user-friendly - I've had 2 friends shy away from BGM, even though they loved the looks, because they're completely rubbish with anything remotely technical and they just got frightened at seeing what they'd have to do to install it. Big shame, in my opinion, as it could be easily avoided.

In case it wasn't entirely clear from the above... I do love your work and am very grateful for it! Just not using the new version yet, but I'm itching to!
5.2 already has this fix for the invisible bars top and bottom for loading screen.
Make sure you have the latest version installed.
5.2 was release Nov 13 2011.

About the colors being in one zip.

The thing is the zip will be huge and I did used to have it that way but I had complaint about it.

Some people still have limited bandwidth monthly also at the time we werent allowed to go over 20mb in zip file size when we upload to lotrointerface.

Also about my mini toolbar, well the thing I used to have it too back in days on my zip,but new people stayed away from my UI cause it was to complicated for them to use.

This the reasons I have my complicated mini mods seperated so I wont scare to newbies aways from using my UI.

Also I was getting bad star ratings at the time so I had to change it,finally I have it were most people are content with the ui.

Normally no that I could find.

I forgot about rushl's code that he gave me permission to use back in 2009,which included in B.G.M V3.

Maybe this is better to use, copy the code and paste it to the skindefinition file in B.G.M main folder UI.

He's original work can be found here:

Keep in mind that the dragbar is located top left side of the bags.

I be including his work on future B.G.M again,I don't know how I forgot about it.

Wow

This is an awesome UI. I've been using the minimal version of DaimonUI forever but he hasn't updated it for RoI. I really love the black sleek look of this UI. So for me to switch to this over my old UI, you know it is really good.

Readability studies (using Western font sets) have shown readers find it much more difficult to understand all caps fonts. Mixed case fonts are more readable. However, I realize that you are simply continuing the font usage Turbine has established.

Just thought I would mention it because if you re-created the Traits Panel using an all caps font with a pseudo mixed-caps appearance, it might help with your German translation (so instead of VIRTUE TRAITS with CHARITY, etc. you would have VIRTUE TRAITS with CHARITY). I can see that you have already decreased the size, but not sufficiently to allow easy reading.

If you did the above, dropping the 1st & 3rd columns down one cell, you can re-design the cells so that all cells are the same size. Between font and cell size changes, you should have room for additional lettering (ie, reducing your German translation issues). Additionally, this allows cells A1-C1 to be merged and centered - highlighting the panel name more.

The only potential problem implementing pseudo mixed-caps is the disparity between this panel and any others using same sized all-caps fonts.

Ok about the crashes things i said? happened 4 times to me.
Once with plugins on(i know that most plugins crashed lotro o Roi realese
but i updated them to workas intended)
and all the other 3 times that crashed was due to having the floating names ON.
When i was on a load i could see the letters(floating names) in the Upper left corner and when the load was about to finish BOOM crashed.maybe its something else:s i will check on them for sure mate gl
Try this then and let me know if you continue to crash.

Remove this code line in the skindefinition file, open the skin definition file with note pad and look for:
<Mapping ArtAssetID="expanding_deco_bg_mid" FileName="base box\expanding_deco_bg_mid.tga"></Mapping>

Delete that code line and save the file of the changes.

Also what is your OS and if its in English or other language.

Another thing you try too is rename the B.G.M folder, remove the "v" from
the v5v0.
From this: black glass mix blue v5v0
to this:
black glass mix blue 5 0

You might have to re select my skin mod in the option panel.

Edit:
Also might to test this theory from this post related to horse stable's.

Me personally I have never crashed at all even with plug ins.
http://www.lotrointerface.com/forums...ead.php?t=1672

The only thing I can think of is OS running in 32bit that could cause crashes,I run WIndows 7 64bit.

Tangaar-Litos-Everyone else thanks.

Thanks you two, yesterday i didn't had chance to work on it plus I had a headache that lasted all day even with medicine.

Today Saturday I'm going to go over what you posted Tangaar of the problems.

Hmm I must have accidently moved the frame vitals on the fellowship which is one I didn't test,I tested the others and seem ok.

Also I have a pm from someone that translated the German from English for the deed tabs and such which I haven't read yet.

Ah the ui border on the loading screen, forgot to revert it back.

The reason I had it blank with no image is cause I can access my main bars while loading in every area and I could summon my horse before the area loads.
This was my personally mod and wasn't really meant for public, sorry.

Keep posting any more problems so I can fix them for the B.G.M v-5.1 and release a small patch for those that already downloaded the 5.0.

I don't have Isengard nor I have been to the new area,so I need any feedback of the UI from that area if there's any problems.

About the crashes, don't think it's my UI,most likely a lua plug in if you run any.

I don't remember any in the past that Ui causes crashes but Lua plugins is a defo.

Edit:
Oh about the art location that has missing image, here read this news I posted.
http://www.lotrointerface.com/portal...tem&newsid=158

You can find more news of my work on the archive news page @
http://www.lotrointerface.com/portal...&a=newsarchive

Edit#3
About the mini vitals,if you have the version 4.3 look under the folder named "vitals" and look for the file named "player_vitals_backdrop_mini.tga".

Copy that file from version 4.3 to 5.0.

Found somthing else btw

In ANY travel or ANY loading screen(even when logging in game) this happens

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/3168/324r.png Bug?

More finds/buggs on V5
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/9685/3123.png V4,3
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/6462/3123123123n.png V5

http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/7076/unledet.png A suggestion

Also on traits tab every box has this upper part on V5 looks really brighter now.Maybe its me though but id wish i could make it be same;(

Man i know i find small thingies which might not really matter at all
But im just a perfectionist myself and i just love things looking at their best
even though im not making this. One suggestion btw.
When i highlight a skill or or anything from bars
it gets pretty darker tahn in v4.3 can i get this from the 4.3 to 5?:x because sometimes i cant realise if the skill is on cooldown or not:x
ANd i dont know why,but lotro crashes with V5 enabled

Tangar and everyone else:

Quote:
In the mean time if you still have the 4.3 bgm look for the folder "menu",copy that and paste it to the bgm 5 and do an overwrite.

For the deed page look for the folder "location art" and do the same thing.

Once thing is that the new art location wont be overwritten since they didn't exist before.

Oh btw, good eye on the menu buttons.

Yes I did add a white line in the middle of the icon,i was trying to get the look of glass style.

I'ts kinda hard to explain how I wanted to appear.
Kinda like this:
http://image.made-in-china.com/4f0j0...inet-Knobs.jpg
As for the levl meter on the weps, yeah the first time I skinned it accidently so it was black at the time.

Look for the folder "ia" and copy the file called "ia_itemdisplaymeter_overlay.tga" and paste that file inside the "ia" on bgm 5.

still have the 4,3 ofc.

thnaks again and may ask what are you gonna change on the patch?

Oh i got it,crystalised black with glass overlay smth, looks good and glossy
Well the menu's revert them back ,on the other BGM colors will already have them normal instead of this white line I added.

This why I wait couple days to see what people don't like of my changes.

Since you gave me the feed back quickly I now know what to fix for the other colors and make sure not to add them.

Alright, right now I too sleepy to continue on.

I see you guys later when I wake up.

In the mean time anyone else give your feedbacks please and thanks.
