I also tried loading the plugin from a shortcut with a single digit hotkey "9" and it wouldnt load properly using that hotkey either, so apparently its the using a hotkey not the alt key that is the problem.
With that being the case, there might not be anything I can do to fix the issue. I'll submit a Turbine Ticket for this, but who knows if / when they'll address it. Thanks again for the investigation.

This means that for what ever reason it can't read the settings file in. Can you by chance send me ([email protected]) your settings file located: "The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\<UserName>\<ServerName>\AllCha racters\TonicBarSettings.plugindata

Hopefully I can reproduce or find an issue with the file. Thanks!

My reasoning was to have one of the hidden quickslot bars with the shortcut to load the plugin, bound to a hotkey combination, so that on login I only had to press Alt-T to load up the plugin.
LOL, that's actually a good idea, but I would have never guessed to check that. Now that I know your problem, I can try and find a solution. Thanks for the investigation work!! I'll let you know if I can't reproduce it still, but it sounds very plausible.

Hmm this is odd. I thought that the problem was from loading the plugin with Plugin Manager but I am not positive that that is the problem now. I was loading plugin manager by making a shortcut and placing it on a quickslot. My shortcut was "/plugins load manager".

When I thought the plugin manager was the problem, I made another shortcut. This time the shortcut is "/plugins load tonicbars". I get the same issue loading the tonicbars plugin this way as I did with the plugin manager.

If I type "/plugins load tonicbars" on the command line it works fine. If I use a shortcut then the extension bars dont get loaded in the correct spot but in the default location. Shrug.

EDIT: Lol, I found out that infact the shortcut works fine even. The issue seems to be that I bound the shortcut to a hotkey. In this case Alt-T. If I load the plugin by clicking on the shortcut on the quickbars it has no problem loading if i use the HOTKEY to activate the shortcut to load it then it has the issue. My guess in this case is that the problem has to do with the ALT key being pressed while the plugin is being loaded. But I havent examined the code enough to tell.

My reasoning was to have one of the hidden quickslot bars with the shortcut to load the plugin, bound to a hotkey combination, so that on login I only had to press Alt-T to load up the plugin.

I got this error:

\Plugins\Tonic\TonicBars\SettingsManager.lua:88: Unable to parse file!

The last time I loaded, it worked, but now there is this error.
I'm using v1.5.1

Oddly, I use that almost exclusively during my testing. Sometimes randomly loading it manually. I wonder if it's the version of the Manager that matters... weird, I'll play with that a little more when I get home from work.

After a LOT of testing and trying different things. I finally determined why I having a problem with my extension bars not lining up with where they were set until I moved a bar after loading the game.

I was using Plugin Manager to load the plugin. I dont know what effect it has on your plugin but when I load your plugin manually it works perfectly. I only had your plugin being loaded by the plugin manager so it would be the only plugin to conflict.

Brad,

The plugin needs to be restarted for the generic checkbox to remove the launcher. The next restart will prevent it from displaying.

As to the F12 bugs, I can add some of this in. But they fall lower in terms of priority, but it'll be added to the list, but not sure when. I'm working on a new, big feature and it'll be at least a few weeks before I submit a new revision with bug fixes ext, unless something major comes up.

Great Job!
Thanks! But sadly, there is no way with the current API to perform this (or it would have been done :P) I figured some people don't care about the actual icons or can live with the limited view.

A suggestion : do you think it's possible to resize the icon pictures when the bar is resized? For the moment, it seems that only the "visible part" of the icon is resized but not the icon itself.

I have a question regarding future functionality. Do you think it would ever be possible to make bars visible based on the targets current state, like dazed?
Sorry, we can not get Target information at all. That would be very nice, (expecially for things like a LoreMaster's Pets Proc for instance)

Launcher (goblet) doesn't disappear with F12 or the generic checkbox

The Launcher doesn't disappear when I use F12 to clear the screen. The bars work as expected. I also tried to use the generic checkbox but the Launcher is still visible when the box is unchecked.

The main window also appears when I use F12 to restore everything to the screen.

Thanks for a great addon!

Regards,

Brad

Great work on this plugin, NuclearTonic. Is it possible to add a "not in combat" trigger option? I think this would make a handy option for a bar for those abilities and items that cannot be used in combat, such as maps, food, mounts, etc. Thanks!
Yep, this is definitely something that can be added. I'll try to get it in the next update.
