[quote] 2. Triggered bars are not detecting states reliably.

None of my potion bars trigger anymore. I use TB to replace the palantir curable support, but the bars don't show anymore when I'm wounded/feared/poisioned/diseased.[/qoute]

Having a similar problem.
When you go to check that they are set the window is blank yet when you open the drop down list the right box is ticked. Un-ticking and re-ticking then makes the right trigger be shown in the window. However when you got to the next triggered bar it shows as the same value as the one you have just set. Again it is a case of resetting the correct trigger for each bar.

Tried this, and it worked, but only for that play session. Upon my next log-in, triggered bars wouldn't work again.

Thanks for developping this usefull plugin, I love it !

I tried Turbine's extension manager (introduced with update 5) to automatically load my plugin manager (bootstrap).

After this, Tonicbars doesn't displayed anymore consumable/stackable items (pots, foods, parchments, etc... and milestones displayed only their default icon), and refreshing the plugins just leaded each time the game very unstable and made it crash in the upcoming seconds.

I properly reinstalled tonicbars, including deleting the users parameters file --> no progress.

Not using anymore the Turbine's extension manager was the cure,

So my only comment concerning this new feature at the present day is "Run, you fools !"

My extensions also appear at upper left but I load through bootstrap and not the plugin manager. It also drops the icons too.

However on manual load extensions appear correctly and so so the icons.

Re: does not play well w/ LoTRO new plugin manager

When loaded through the lotro plugin manager, the extension bars do not align with the main bar. The utility works fine if loaded manually.

I've experienced the same thing when I used LOTRO Plugin Manager to auto-load TonicBars (v.2.6.2) on login: my main bar (located lower-left of screen with right-extensions) when moused over causes extension to appear (all extensions stacked on the same location) at the top-left of the screen (the same default location as when a new bar is created). When unloaded and loaded again (using LOTRO PM) it works fine. I love the utility and versatility of TonicBars and use it on all my characters... hoping there is some solution to this problem so I can have it auto-load successfully. Thanks!

Noticed something weird with the plugin manager....

If I have items on the bars from my backpack, and it's loaded with the Turbine Plugin Manager, all the items will be stripped from the bars.

On the other hand, if I'm using the manager that we've been using since Day 1, it works just fine.
Ever since U5, Extensions have been broken for me. TonicBars aren't remembering them, so I need to set them up every time. I also have the same problem with backpack items that Almagnus mentioned.

With Turbine's Plugin Manager TonicBars doesn't load flawlessly anymore: extention bars are displaced. Only manual (re)loading solves this.

Is it possible to setup a bar that only triggers on Ctrl and Alt both being pressed at the same time?

Re: Re: Probably Lua bug, but might just be Tonic Bars related

I love the potential that Tonicbars offers, but I think that "totally unreliable" pretty much sums it up. I use it pretty much daily on every character and have been doing so for about six months, even persevering through the ROI inventory bug crashes.

I see two main bugs frequently.

1. Inventory bars lose their contents.
2. Triggered bars are not detecting states reliably.

Combined, these two bugs break the primary function that I want Tonicbars to provide - namely to reduce button clutter and have buttons that only appear when needed.

As an example, I have a short inventory bar that has a named "athelas" filter and is set to trigger when my health falls below 33%. I have a similar bar for power. Frequently both bars will lose their contents. If I do a /tb and bring up either bar to examine it, magically both bars will fix themselves. Unloading and reloading TB has the same effect. I have seen similar problems with quick bars that I've just dragged a skill or inventory item to.

Triggers are nowhere near reliable enough to count on them during combat. Triggered bars fail to appear maybe thirty percent of the time. I have bars set to trigger for wound, poison, disease, fear, low health and low power. Often I'll see a wound icon appear (as one example) on my debuff list and yet my wound bar does not appear. I have also seen the opposite occur where I might get low in power, see the low power bar appear, but then it gets stuck on when my power has recovered. Popping a power potion, opening the /tb interface or reloading the plugin will reset the bar to the correct (in this case invisible) state.

Tonicbars 2.6.2 is the only plugin that I use so I can't blame anything on interference or bad behavior of other tools.

It seems like the problem is much worse since ROI so I'm not sure if the issue is with LUA or the latest version of TB.

TB is a great plugin that's just not living up to it's potential because it's a bit flakey.

TonicBars reacting to level-up?

I've noticed that TonicBars will "turn itself on" whenever a character levels. After clicking the main icon and closing the window, everything goes back to normal. Its just a minor annoyance but probably should be fixed.

Edit: Due to the "non-standard" way this plugin is packaged, I may have been running 2.4 instead of 2.6.2! Please consider packaging this plugin in the same way as 90% of the other plugins on LoTROInterface.

This is primarily an FYI, but also to confirm an earlier post

I'm seeing the "vanishing inventory bars" problem fairly regularly.

However, adding to the issue is ... if i /unload plugins and then reload them, I frequently find the game client freeze-up sometime later. Usually 3-5 minutes later.

If I don't have any plugins loaded, I don't see the freeze.

Lua's in use:
Manager
TonicBars
BuffBars
Travel
MoorMap

Well thanks Magill for pointing this out. As for your earlier advice, nothing happens when i open the bags, but when i eat or drink from the bag, sometimes the bars reappear. totally unreliable.
