From my side, since the Patch 2, everytime I am leveling up on a character, all quickslots just show themselves, mostly the one that uses a dropdown system while mouse over.
The "quick fix" -- open and close the main Tonic Bars window.

Read the readme.txt. There is the installation manual. You created too many folders.

Help needed please

I am now to this, I can't seem to load tonicbars when I am in the game.

I have tried several times...
I extracted the files to:
Libraries/Documents/My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/Plugins/
It put a folder named tonicbars in the plugins folder.

Then I went online and tried to load the plugin by typing: /plugins load tonicbars

I got a message: Unable to load "tonicbars"

I tried /plugins refresh

I got a list of 4 available plugins and tonicbars was not one of them.

I tried extracting to a Tonic folder within the plugins folder and that did not work either.

What am I doing wrong?

Request:

Can we get the TonicBars to lock if we have the quickslots locked in the game. Every once in a while I accidentally throw an icon off the bar. Other that that I can not live without this plugin!
The "lock" options is available since the 1st time this plugins was public. Just look under the TAB name of your quicklslot, you should have a checkbox for you to check and lock.

A way to use Tonic Bars across accounts and servers

If you are a Unix, Linux or Mac OSX player this is easy to do. I assume the same is true of Windows, but since I don't play with Windows, I don't know.
On Unix/Linux/Mac OSX, one uses the command "ln -s" from a terminal window. I assume Windows has a similar command, but again, I don't know.

[if all of this is "geek" to you -- don't try to do this!]

Basically you simply pick one server/file to be the parent and "link" the rest to it.

You have a file called:

<user>/Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online
/PluginData/<account>/<server>/AllCharacters/TonicBarSettings.plugindata

This file contains all of the TB settings for all of the characters on one server.

Simply "link" which ever file you want to use as your master file to the other accounts and/or servers you use. Then when you load TB for that toon, it will be added to the "list" maintained in the master file.

You make one link for each account/server you use.

The primary benefit is that it allows you to "see" each of your TB settings for each toon. You can then easily import settings and bars.

Another observation

imported a bar from another toon.
The bar was un-populated.
edited that bar (inventory bar), and it populated on selection....
but my other bars cleared.

Unloaded all plugins /plugins unload
reloaded (via plugin manager)

All bars were populated.

An interesting observation

I was copying bars between toons.

When I first copied the bar, it was un-populated. Ok... so I went to move it.
Tried ctl-\ it moved as expected. Toggled out of ctl-\ and re-opened main window... the bar popped back to its original (imported) location.

After trying this multiple times. I simply moved the bar with the main TB window up... and the move stuck.

Multiple accounts...

Ditto... I do the same thing to move settings between accounts and servers.

Copying Bars Across Accounts

Could you rework the copying of profiles so that it isn't segregated per account -- have just one master profile file? I have multiple accounts and this would make things very wonderful. I've been using Notepad to copy the settings. It's a bit tedious, to say the least! Thanks.

non-class bars I use

I know many of you love TonicBars as much as I do.
What I wanted was to have item buff bars that only showed up when I needed them.
EXAMPLE: My captain
Trail Food
Cooked Food
Warding Lore
Battle Lore

I just added to the localization (English for me, you have to translate yourself) file for Captain:
--------------------------------
-- Other Non-Class specific buffs
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Cooked Food", "Cooked Food", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Trail Food", "Trail Food", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Minor Battle Lore", "Minor Battle Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Lesser Battle Lore", "Lesser Battle Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Battle Lore", "Battle Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Elder Battle Lore", "Elder Battle Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Ancient Battle Lore", "Ancient Battle Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Minor Warding Lore", "Minor Warding Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Lesser Warding Lore", "Lesser Warding Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Warding Lore", "Warding Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Elder Warding Lore", "Elder Warding Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Ancient Warding Lore", "Ancient Warding Lore", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );
eventManager:RegisterEffect( nil, "Monster Play", "Monster Play", Turbine.Gameplay.Class.Captain );

--------------------------------
Then you can make bars that look for those buffs.
You have to do this for each class that you want it on though. (At least I haven't found a "universal" place to put it.)
Now those bars only show when I need the buff item.

Gotta LOVE TonicBars!

Issues with certain Class Triggers

NuclearTonic: First of all, let me say that I just recently got turned on to this plugin, but I am already giddy with excitement at how much more efficient it makes my characters! Thanks so much for your hard work.

I am having a couple issues however.

My main is a Champion, so I have to juggle Fervour, Controlled Burn, Ardour and Glory stances from time to time.

I also use Defeat Responses very frequently, and since Ardour/Glory/CB use an additional response or two (more than Fervour), I tried setting up 4 separate bars... Each one was meant to activate upon a Defeat Response with one of my 4 stances currently activated.

So for each of these bars, under Triggers I would select "Buffs Active: Defeat Response, Fervour" or "Buffs Active: Defeat Response, Glory" etc. etc.

What ended up happening though, is that when I defeated an enemy in ANY of the 4 stances, ALL 4 of the separate bars activated simultaneously.

So is it not possible to use multiple triggers on one bar?

As far as I can see, I've got them set up properly as far as my understanding of the trigger system goes.

It seems a few other posters in this thread have had similar issues with other class triggers.

Any hints on what to do, or fixes on the way?

I think it must have crashed while writing to your settings file. You'll have to delete the file and start over... I can't help when the client crashes...

You can find that file under "/lord of the rings online/plugindata/<username>/<servername>/AllCharacters/tonicbarsettings.plugindata"
