I have the same issue as jhessin. Are we missing something or is it a bug ?

I cannot load this plugin - I just downloaded version 1.04a and it is shown when I type /plugins list, but when I type /plugins load filterbag I get the following errors

I am a noob at this so if I installed it wrong please let me know. I followed the instructions listed in the fax for scripts so I think I did it right.

I'm very sorry you lost rare items, that is why I published my patched version (http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info460.html) to fix bugs in the plugin that were causing people to loose items.
Your statement confuses me though, which version of Filterbag were you using at the time you lost those items? Because there shouldn't be any loss with version 1.6. If you have used my patched version, please send me backpack.plugindata , bagsitems.plugindata & itemList*.plugindata from
My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\{Your game ID}\{server name}\{you character}\ folder, email to rusatg @ yahoo . com

Hey guys, I got a real nasty bug today while using the unpatched version of FB (and latest), when I sorted out the bag 11 legendary shards got erased I opened a ticket because I thought I erased them or they just simply banished but recalling my action while I was about to use the shards the only thing I remember doing was that. Please check up the code so it doesnt erase that kind of hard stuff to get.

sorry for the bugs in 1.6 version. it was later made some stupid mistakes.
hopefully fixed most of them in 1.6a

With the current sort, I'm not going to test that theory as it'll totally re-arrange my items wrong (according to how I like it as explained in a prior post) on the sort.

Is it possible to auto-merge the non-locked items into the locked stack if they're exactly the same item type but just not locked?

Nothing in the date files sent points to any problems with current version of the plugin.
Some empty slots might appear as a result of using sort feature, by the nature of the way items are moved in Lotro bag space. Essentially items are never moved but 1 item is swaped with another, and if the items are the same and are stackable, Lotro will combine em.

I really like this bag addon compared to the others that are currently available. The only feature that frustrates me, is the sorting. First, if I accidentally push the sort button, it just does its thing... even when I don't want it to. So, a sort confirmation would really help. If others don't like it, add a toggle option for it in a settings window.

We should have various sorting options as well. For me, I like to have my more permenant items at the bottom of the window so that all pickup items auto fill from the top down.

I start the bottom right with my map, followed by crafting/gathering tools, then pots, tokens, gathered craft items (ore/wood), quest items... then everything else depending how long I'll be holding it. Vendor junk items should definitely fill starting from the upper left corner as they'll get sold soon.

The current sort function totally screws the whole system up and an alpha sort in any MMO is pretty much worthless IMO. So, I guess I'm looking for some smart sorting options.

Ouch. pgmatg, the first time I tried your new modified version I lost an item and the sort didn't seem to actually sort. I had a number of identical items that appeared throughout the sorted inventory. I tried sorting a few more times and they never moved. I will look at getting the debug info you were looking for.

Thank you pgmatg! I was just coming out here to post that I can confirm the loss of a couple items. I really appreciate the help on this as a sort feature really helps with my overloaded inventory.

I have debugged the plugins with various characters and data files, and I am convinced that the bug most of the time happens when you have special quest items in your bags, it is partially because of somewhat faulty turbine lua scripts inner work, essentially nil swap will delete an item.
I've made sure that doesn't happen anymore in my new version of FilterBag plugin, also made a few other adjustments :

Hi, I am sorry to hear that you lost items to a bug associated with the plugin.
I am sure that a GM can refund you the items you lost as long as it hasn't been too long.
As I don't see the creator of Filterbag doing anytging to update the plugin, I am trying to reproduce and fix the bug. But I need data files in order to debug the problem. So any1 who has used sort or save feature in my modified version of Filterbag plugin, can mail me diagnostic file : PluginData\{Your game ID}\{server name}\{you character}\itemListQ.plugindata
