First, you can set TR to auto-open on load so the window is automatically displayed. Then make sure you have configured TR for your character (this takes a little time to set up, but can make a huge difference in route selection). This requires marking achievements in the Requirements window "/trw req" and then adding return skills in the Return window "/trw rt". If you are a hunter or warden, add your class travel skills in the final window "/trw gm". Lastly, for each milestone you have, select the nearest stable and use the Set milestone button.

After you have all this configured, you can then find the best way to get to a location with these steps:
- set your destination stable and do a Set End. If you have an action to get there directly, the action icon will be displayed and you just click on it.
- click on the Find Nearest button to set your starting point.
- click on the Find Best Start button to get your best route.
In many cases the best route will include a travel skill and the icon for this will be displayed; so click on the icon and then follow the rest of the route.

If you still get the level error, I'll need all the details of where you were trying to travel from and to as well as your level. In some cases I may also need your requirement settings. It goes without saying that you should be running the latest version of TR.

If you use my plugins, I'd recommend you set Vinny Loader to auto-load and my plugins to auto-open on load. Then when you want to use one, you just click on the icon for it in the lower-left corner and it pops open.

Procedural question (to determine what I'm doing wrong):

I want to set something as an ending location and then find the nearest stable to my present location and find a travel route. It gives me a bad result. Here's an example:

1) I type '/tr <coordinates,coordinates> to get the message 'The nearest stable to <coordinates,coordinates> is <stable> @ <coordinates,coordinates> (x units away).' This also opens the GUI with <stable> already populated.

2) I click on SET START to change it to SET END and it tells me that my ending location is now set to <stable>.

3) I then click on FIND NEAREST STABLE and set the new stable as starting point.

4) I click FIND ROUTE and it tells me 'invalid level'.

What's the proper way to find the route that I'm looking for?

This is a minor update that adds support for a new plugin that I wrote called "Vinny Loader" that lets you load any of my plugins with just a single click. If it is already loaded, it will just open the plugin window (or in the case of ET, display the event list).

I'm a TravelRef user from way back, so I have to to admit that I haven't really followed a lot of the new additions, as it already did everything I wanted it to do. In fact, I'm not even sure what some new features do, even though I see them on the tool. A while back I did see weird 'nearest stable' result such as being told that Evendim was the closest stable near my location in Mirkwood, but I didn't worry about it too much as I then just usually ended up using one of my many milestones any way.

This is a minor update that fixes several defects that I've found. I'm surprised that nobody has reported any of these and makes me wonder how many actually use the fancier features.

First, the default player level wasn't being set, which caused route finding to fail with an "invalid level" error. Then the labels for the check boxes in the return/guide/muster windows weren't being displayed. Finally, when doing a Find nearest Stable, it was sometimes finding a stable in the opposite region due to an overlap in coordinates between regions.

These have all been fixed now and hopefully there aren't any more defects lurking around. I'm not sure when they snuck in, but I try to find them while testing. I'm currently looking at the travel routes that require you to be a current or previous subscriber so that TR can better find routes for players that haven't subscribed.

I finally got all the required faction rep to use the Hytbold swift travel selections. I have now timed them all and added this to the travel data.

I also added an "auto-open window" option to the Plugin Manager's Option tab. When this is set, the current TR window position is saved and when the plugin is loaded, it will automatically open the window at the saved position.

This is a minor update that adds the regular travel times for Hytbold. I still need to gain enough rep to use the swift travel, so those times will have to wait for another update.

I forgot to change the install instructions to now unzip into the main Plugins folder. Everything will now be under the Vinny folder instead of the old MyPlugins folder. I'll have the revised install instructions in the next version.

This is a minor update. I've added button on the bottom of the main window that implement the "/trw req" and "/trw td" commands as a convenience. The new Stable-master display with update 9 allowed me to add the Hytbold travel routes before I can use them. (I still need to complete the Hytbold quest before I can add the travel times.)

This is a minor update. It changes the file structure to make it compatible with Plugin Compendium. I've added a rep faction and travel discount for Entwash Vale. Lastly, there was a typos in the location name for "Thrasi's Lodge".

WARNING: If you are updating this plugin, you need to delete the old installation to prevent confusion when loading it.

This is another minor update. First, when I was reviewing travel discounts, I noticed that I'd never finished implementing it for Great River locations, so I put it in. Then when I finally got it for the "the Wold" part of Rohan, I started verifying the expected stable locations and was surprised to find a 25% discount instead of the usual 10%, so I had to add a special case for that.

I still have two more parts of Rohan to verify after I get the required rep, but I'm expecting them to be the same. However, my assumptions may yet prove wrong, so another revision may be needed at that time.
