OMG I had converted all accents in ASCII for nothing ! (cutting my veins )
To get the normal encode for your file, in Firefox, just right-click the link http://fboye.pagesperso-orange.fr/LOTRO/fr.lua then choose "save the link target as..." and you'll get the file without the accents modified by your web browser.

ardinendlil uses this trim article function. Is it true that there is no space between the article and the word it modifies?
Code:
-- Renvoie un nom sans les articles
local function trim_articles(name)
if (name == nil) then
return nil;
end
-- Articles possibles: Mayara, LeMayara, Le Mayara, LaMayara, La Mayara, L' Mayara, L’Mayara, et peut être d'autres?
return string.gsub(name, "^[Ll].-(%u)", "%1");
end
ardinendlil's entire file can be seen here.
(S)he uploaded and all the special characters were corrupted. If anyone can un-corrupt them and zip the file and send it that would be a big help.

Re: /ca reset totals
Quote:
I uploaded a new patch 4.4.4 which is currently awaiting approval by site admin and authors.
The new patch adds a new optional command-line "/ca reset totals" that will mirror the reset totals when you right-click and reset totals.
This differs from the "/ca reset" which only works out of combat (because it is buggy when forced to execute while in-combat).

Thanks for that hdflux, as soon as I get the notice I'll do the review. We also have a member that donated a French translation and I'll add that to 4.4.4 too.
Thanks to you all.

Typical usage scenario would be you are rounding up a mob and wish to see your DPS parse start at the exact moment you start attacking the mob. Previously I would right-click and left-click reset totals which would take my cursor far away from my quickslot bars.
You could create a shortcut alias like;
/shortcut # /ca reset totals
Where # represents a quickbar slot number. Once the shortcut alias is created you could then click and drag it to any location on your quickslot bars.

Re: Might have a fix...
You lead me in the right direction I believe...
I wnet into the Plugin data and pulled up SuggestionTextBox.lua. I edited with Notepad the string from 64 to 128 and then set the too long error message to "false"
------
Oh sweet! I never bothered to think that the source code was plain text, I thought it would've been something like compiled C or C++. Well, I am very happy that this worked for you!

I wnet into the Plugin data and pulled up SuggestionTextBox.lua. I edited with Notepad the string from 64 to 128 and then set the too long error message to "false"
-- determine if the user has entered too many characters, and if so display a warning
local tooLong = (string.len(text) > 128);
local illegalCharacters = nil;
if (tooLong ~= self.tooLong) then
if (tooLong) then
self.tooLong = false;
self.illegalCharacters = false;
-- TODO: show message including "L.TooLong"
else
self.tooLong = false;
end
So far this has worked!!!!

Re: File name error
is anyone else receiving an error "the specified file name was to long (maximum length = 64 characters)"?
---------
I am not, but I am guessing that it is language related (I use the English version). On Windows at least the maximum filename length is 255 characters while the maximum file path including filename is 32000 characters, although for obvious reason it is best to keep the file path much smaller.
My guess is that it is probably an easy fix.
As a fellow programmer I would actually have a keen interest in grabbing the source code for this LUA. There's a couple of minor custom features I'd love to play with trying to add, and if I got them working I'd pass my changes back along to @gjpc.

File name error
Hello all,
is anyone else receiving an error "the specified file name was to long (maximum length = 64 characters)"?
I have to press OK every time this pops up after killing a mob then I assume has too many characters in their name for the plugin.
How can I fix this?

Thank you gjpc and everyone else who is helping make this very powerful plugin functional and accessible.
I did notice one thing last time my buddy and I were playing. Our "interrupts" were not being counted. I was playing a Warden and he was on his Champ. He was the first one to point it out, and then I decided to look and also noticed that none of my interrupts were being counted either. Nothing critical, but something fun to know. If you wouldn't mind looking into that when you have chance I would appreciate it. Thanks!

German localization ready
Hey there,
I finished the german localization based on version 4.4.0. I managed to sort the entries like they are sorted in the english localization file to facilitate translation in the future.
I checked every line and made changes as I saw fit.
I did not mess with the lua script sections at this time.
How can I get the file to you?
