Raid Rolls
v1.10

Description:
Raid Rolls is a utility plugin to assist in Master Looter-style treasure distribution. The plugin will monitor /rolls made by each member of the raid and highlight the highest result. Results for a member may be reset or manually entered if necessary.

Installation:
Unzip the archive file to: C:\Users\{USER}\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins

Usage:
Type /plugins load raidrolls into a chat input in the game.

Code:

/raidrolls [show | hide]

“/rr” may also be used in place of “/raidrolls.” The command without any arguments will toggle the visibility of the main window.

Click on the “Open Rolls” button to populate a list of your group members and begin monitoring for their rolls. As each member types /roll, Raid Rolls will record their result. Only the first roll of each member will be saved.

When everyone has finished rolling, click on “Close Rolls” to finalize and sort the results. If any member needs to re-roll for any reason, right click on their name in the list and select “Reset Roll Status.” If manual intervention is necessary for any reason, right click on a member’s name and select “Manually Set Roll” and type in the roll that they should have.

Options: access the options menu by right clicking anywhere on the Raid Rolls window that isn’t occupied by a raid member’s name.

Hide Window on Load: Checking this option will cause the Raid Rolls to load in a hidden state. Type “/raidrolls” or “/rr” to mak e it visible.
Automatically Sort Rolls: This option will sort the rolls from the group as they come in, rather than just when rolls are closed.

Known Issues:
The plugin does not currently handle certain raid changes (member joins, member leaves, group disbands) well, causing client crashes in the worst cases. The safest recommendation right now is to load the plugin right before rolls are made, and to unload it when finished.

2011OCT06 Fixed a parsing issue with French client.
2011NOV01 Added window initial visibility and auto-sort options.

Removed Turbine example dependency.

I updated the roll detection logic to be compatible with non-EN clients.

Note that there's not much to see if you're not in a group, since the /roll command (and DE/FR equivalent) does not do anything until you're joined with someone else.

Unable to load raidrolls

I get the following error when I attempt "/plugins load raidrolls". This happens both with 1.0 and 1.01. I do have the plugin manager loaded and it sees the plugin, so I believe I unzipped to the correct place per the instructions.

Nice. Our raid leaders would love this plugin. Gonna give it a test.

btw: Would a sort-button be possible? to sort the list by result? Or maybe even have it as the default view.

The results are sorted when rolls are closed. It would be possible to sort them as rolls were received. That might be something to consider as an option in the future.

hi all

just one question about the plugins :

is there a way to make it work with french client ? if yes is there someone who can explain to me how to make changes, to make it works ?

cuz for the moment, the windows open, i got evryone names, but when we all make the "/dé" nothing comes.

When I read the Beta patch notes on the upcoming added functionality, this was the FIRST thing I thought of... How incredibly useful for a raid leader to have this tool at your disposal!

I was alerted to this one last night, while leading my Kin in Ost Dunhoth, and I just downloaded it. Will do some initial testing today and hopefully lead a raid tonight... I'll report back if I have any comments at all. For now: thank you! A wonderfully simple tool that will hopefully make my job a lot easier

If possible, can the roll window be hidden when the plugin is first loaded?

To answer my own question, yes it can.

Change Main.lua line 4:

MainWindow:SetVisible(false);

and add line 30:

Turbine.Shell.WriteLine("RaidRolls v1.02 by Lycius");

so we know something happened when we loaded the plugin!

Hard to reproduce but i occasionally crash when using the plugins, always happen when opening rolls after closing it in 12 man raid. I was not raid leader at the time but i don't think it has something to do with that.

Maybe due to the current lua backpack crash thing that turbine is going to fix, but the crash is definitely related to the plugin

Also, when people are getting out of raid and getting replaced, the plugins sometimes have a hard time to keep up, closing rolls and reopening them don't update the people, so sometimes i have only 10 or 11 people in the plugins but the raid is a full 12 man one.

Only way to fix that when it happens is unloading the plugin and reloading it again.

Expect that, wonderful plugin of really good use

We were in a raid tonight, and people that joined the raid after I loaded raid rolls didn't show up at all in the raid rolls window. The only solution I could find was to unload the plugin and reload it.

It seems like when people drop, I can hit close rolls and then open rolls and it will add them to the list, but there didn't seem to be anyway to get people added.

edit: doh, just noticed that kylina reported the exact same thing.
