Description
About

Basicly this is another warden trainer to help you to remember all those gambits. This is something that I created for myself to help me to remember available gambits and effects. What heals, what increases threat etc.

Gambit lists are filtered on based effects to make it easier to find the needed info.

Big thanks goes to:
MrJackdaw for creating WardenIndicator. Plugin that inspired me to create this plugin.
DeusDictum for creating dragbar, its simply perfect.

Features

- Visibility: by deafault only visible in combat, but out-of-combat visibility is possible.
- Transparent: this plugin is 100% transparent to mouse, so it won't interfere with normal actions in game.
- Gambits: only gambits that you can use are shown by default, but its possible to view all gambits too.
- Movable: both lists can be moved to different locations and locations are stored.
- Image based: creating/using custom skins is possible.
- Highlight: Highlight selected gambits (for example required for deeds)
- Gambits are both color & number coded.

Planned features

- Ability to edit/show custom rotation lists. ~50% done, but currently on hold. Having second thoughts about this feature...

Installation

1. This plugin requires DeusDictums Dragbar to be installed so install it if you don't allready have it.
2. Extract the zip file to your plugin folder.
3. Use command /gh options to configure.

Usage

Start the plugin with command /plugins load GambitHelper or use one of the plugin managers.

Gambit Helper shell commands:

/gh showall Shows all gambits.
/gh rebuild Rebuilds available gambits. (use this after gaining a level)
/gh reset Resets default positions.
/gh ooc Toggle out of combat visibility.
/gh options Display Options window.
/gh vitals Enable/Disable vitals.

Looks to be useful, but it fails to load

I am unable to get the plugin to load. Lua throws the below errors,

Code:
... Online\Plugins\ZanttuxPlugins\GambitHelper\Core.lua:183: attempt to call global 'class' (a nil value)

 ... Online\Plugins\ZanttuxPlugins\GambitHelper\Main.lua:6: Failed to import package "ZanttuxPlugins.GambitHelper.Core"
Yes, I have the latest Drag Bar plugin. I use Bootstrap to load the plugins. All other plugins (12) load and function normally. I have also attempted to load the plugin manually, it also fails.

Suggestion?

Editted to add the CODE block

Re: Looks to be useful, but it fails to load

Installing http://content.turbine.com/sites/lot..._LuaPlugins.7z should take care of that problem.

The plugin shows as being loaded in the chat window, but in or out of combat the windows do not display. I've tried toggling the ooc and win1 and win2 options but no dice. I had to go back to the 1.3 ver. to use it.

After updating to latest version, remove the old GambitHelper.plugindata file before loading the plugin, it's incompatible with the latest version and will cause this exact problem.

This was mentioned in change log.

Thank you so much for this! It is super helpful when learning the warden class. I used to use the PDF/PNG radial image that can be found elsewhere for reference, but this plugin is much more helpful in-game since it's right there in may face instead of looking over to another screen or a printed sheet sitting on my desk.

I like this very much, but it seems the window proportions are slightly off:

(Reason for edit: issue is solved, so change of embedded image to link)

That's very odd problem, never seen it before and I tested with few machines/clients, try doing the normal stuff, remove plugindata file and use the /gh rebuild shellcommand to see if it fixes it. rebuild calculates window sizes so in theory it should fix it. If not, let me know and I see what I can do.

Since the update to 0.2 I can't seem to move the windows. The dragbars don't show up. They were draggable in the previous version.

Edit: Totally confounded. I can't figure out why they won't move (admittedly I haven't checked the code to see if something was just misspelled). I also have the weird cutoff window that the other person mentioned.

Nothing in code was changed about dragbars or base windows, just draw routines, what changed was the plugindata file... thats pretty much all I can think of that could cause weird issues. Pls try removing the old plugindata file and try loading the plugin again after that and see if it fixes it.

Plugindata file is located in ..\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\accountname\server\character

I'm old hand at writing/using addons (WoW) and plugins (LotRO) so I had already done the backup/wipe of settings. I also deleted all my plugins, redownloaded them, and started with just GH and the DragBar dependency loaded and it was still wacky.

I don't think it's the fault of your plugin, since it works for you and for others (I assume, as no one else has mentioned my issue). I'm going to keep trying to figure out what the heck the problem is, though.

I Had a feeling you allready tried those basic fixes, but had to make sure. I did do full clean install myself too and downloaded latest 0.2.0 version from here just be 100% sure its working as supposed and didn't have any issues. So to be honest, at the moment I don't have any ideas what might be causing these odd problems.

I will double check the code just to be sure, but what I can say... works perfectly here.

Like I said, there must just be something screwed up on my end that I can't get squared away. I just manually changed the x/y values in the data file so it's all good.

Smile Bug found, bug killed...

Allright, I did some checking and found the bug that caused the win1 go below borders. This bug only affected players with level 15 and below so that's the reason I didn't notice it earlier when testing.

Thanks Setharnas for the image, it provided (in the end) the info I needed to find that nasty bug.

Version 0.2.1 is now uploaded and waiting to be approved.
