@Lawton
Hi, it seems I misunderstood your question
I thought you wanted to see a vital frame without a hole within it when you disable the 3D portrait in the lotro option panel. Your screenshots show you succeed to get it.
If your question was "Can a skin allow me to get a static portrait of the characters within the vital frames instead of the default animated 3D portrait ?" then the answer is no.
Contrary to the plugins, the skins cannot add any new element or function in the game. The skins can only change the appearance (size / location / picture) of existing elements from the default user interface, and only for elements which the sources have been published (and when the source is not obsolete and/or completely bugged
).
In the case of the 3D portrait, skinning can only change its width and height and its horizontal and vertical location within the vital frame, nothing more.
Only the Lotro developers can fix their own coding errors.
